Fairway wood to play like my driver.

I have my TM Original One 13.5 set to 11.5 and it suits me perfectly. The lie angle is 56 at this setting. To get a fairway wood to play similar (95% from the tee), should I play an M2 Tour 16.5 which has a LA of 56, or perhaps an M5 5 wood set at 17 (opens the face like my OO), or how about an M5 3 wood set 16.5/17? Obviously I want a loft of 16 or 17 and I want to keep it TM just so it matches.....

Thoughts please.

If all you're looking for is lie, get an adjustable hosel. I've got an M2 tour and it sits open, but since it's going to be shorter, not sure if it will match up with your lie- shortening lengths means you want a more upright lie I think, but ymmv. If that's up your alley I highly recommend it especially if you get a well matched shaft. Pro white is awesome, but watch out you might start hitting it further then your OO lol

You want the lie to be the same because the length is going to be the same?

OO plays at 43 1/2" and will look to have the fw at 42" or 42 1/2".

Then you'd want a lie angle that is at least 57. Otherwise it will setup and play flatter than the 56* at 43.5"

Any club I buy will have an 80g+ shaft installed. I will remove the M2 Tour based on what Kwheat said.

From TM website;

M5 3 wood at 17 will be 59.5 lie at 43 1/4" length. I would play this at 42 1/2". This will set up very closed, but will the lie angle be preferable?

M5 5 wood at 17 will be 58 lie at 42 1/4" length. I would play this at or about this length. This will set up very open like my OO, so will the lie be a good match?

A combination of shaft length , head weight and shaft bend profile, can all make a difference in the dynamic lie angle....for giggles I once tested my fwy woods using the dry eraser method for lie angle , and found shaft profile ,( stiffer tip and mid profiles, compared to softer tip and mid profiles), can make dynamic lie angle change up to 2° due to the amount of shaft droop.....

I'd go with the second one, which should be a much better match for both face and lie angle
