I just bought these for a ridiculous price has anyone ever seen a pair like it, color and style???

I’m grateful that i scored these and i have never seen any others alike but have seen plenty in black, never the white.

Does anyone know what the leaf on the back means. Thanks

Brooksy wore those on Sunday, never seen them in white, I own the black pair, really fun but the red chrome comes off extremely quickly.

By ridiculous price do you mean cheap or expensive? And where did you purchase?

The leaf is the logo of the NY State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Bethpage Black is just a small part of Bethpage State Park.

I'm guessing that the five dots in the leaf represent the 5 golf courses at Bethpage.

WdFreak: thanks for the notice on the red chrome. Maybe I’ll look into spraying some sealer on the toe portion.

Boston: I bought them for a little more than double retail on the normal tour premiere and I have an acquaintance that was a long time Nike rep and these are non-production samples so I believe they are the only white ones made in size 10.

Bill: Thanks for the info. Nice to know. The small dots on the interior of the lead are stars so I’m not quite sure what they represent but oh well.

Probably just clear. The retail ones came with a card saying the chrome comes off so if you don’t want that to happen I wouldn’t wear them lol

They are clear when the red wears off, to be honest it doesnt look that bad and its really only worn off in the high walking areas on the toe, the heel is just fine and still red.

These were my TPs after one round. At the time it really bothered me and I ended up returning them. Now I wouldn't care and I certainly tried to get the BRED 11s last week. Wear them and enjoy them!

Amazed at the state of those at the bottom. The red chrome does look really cool but for it to wear off so quickly and end up looking so tatty, honestly I cannot understand why anyone would want to buy them?! Surely, the could figure out a way of getting the colour to stick around longer.

I had the Rosche G Tour NRG version - loved the look, didn't mind the flaking of the red chrome, I returned mine because they we not waterproof. My feet were soaked after a dewy morning tee time.

No laces or BOA? Do they stay on your feet securely? Or is there hidden Velcro?

Just amazed that Nike can put something like that into retail sales. I can just see the conversation now:

Cristphoto they are very similar to BOA pull on the top lace that runs horizontally and they all tighten down kinda like a ratchet system. The small tab on the side gets pulled to release the BOA system.

There is a damn sticker on the bottom of the shoe!

I don’t understand the complaints. It’s stated on the shoe that it will happen. If you like the TP and don’t want to deal with the flaking, just get a standard color way ??‍♂️

The sticker says that "the chrome finish will flake off with use over time". In another post above, with a photo, ajbellinger said that the condition of his shoes in that photo were the result of one round of golf. Do you think that anyone purchasing those shoes believed that "with use over time" meant four hours?

Don't dig your feet in when taking a stance in a bunker. Or maybe that's the easy way to get down to the base coat.

Seems like some held on more than others. The only shoe it truly effects is the Jordan 11 bred.

Just because there's a 'sticker' on the bottom of the shoe, that makes it OK? What about people buying from online without chance to physically examine the shoe. But even with those that see the sticker, don't you think there is some doubt that the chrome will come off as demonstrated in the above photos, and as much that comes off from just 1 wearing? Who the heck makes a product where a major color that factors into the 'prettiness' of the item comes off after 1 wearing? Why can't you incorporate a dye into the plastic that makes a red color that lasts, even if not as pretty as the 'chrome'? I could do a better job on that decision without the drawback. Sorry, but sticker or not, that is a horrible marketing decision....person should be fired for what it likely cost in re-crediting people for their duped purchases. Like buying a car with a sticker on the tires that "tires may fall off without notice...buyer be ware", so when that happens to you (or if you didn't notice the sticker), you were forewarned I guess. I can't believe posters who suggest it's OK because there was a sticker alerting buyers that this would happen? You accept that kind of thing in life? Maybe a set of clubs where heads fly off on 1 round of golf (there was a sticker on the shaft that said that might happen, so if you bought it, you accepted it, lol).

It’s cosmetic. It doesn’t effect the FUNCTION of the product like in your (reaching) examples. Nike accepts all returns. Sooooooo, yeah, the foil comes off as marked. ??‍♂️

They should have put the red foil under a clear outsole like they did on these then it wouldn't be an issue for some of us.

Isn't the premium price being charged for these shoes purely based on cosmetics rather than function?
