Phoenix Area - Club Testing

I wasn't sure if this should go in course or equipment section so feel free to relocate if necessary.

I am going to be in Phoenix(specifically Peoria) and am looking for a good course that I could demo some irons at. Specifically the taylor made p790 and the new cobra tec irons. Is there a good course in the Phoenix area that let's you demo these clubs on grass? I've hit them in simulators but would like to hit off grass before pulling the trigger.

Appreciate any feedback where the best place would be to do that!

Nothing that I can think of off hand like that in the area in terms of natural grass for demoing clubs.

Valley Golf Center in Avondale is an outside range but is all artificial turf and mats for the hitting surface, but you at least get to see the ball flight outdoors and its a very nice facility. They will let you demo anything they have in stock. They carry all major manufacturers.

Another option would be to go to the manufactures website and see if any of the fitting centers/carts are located at a course in the Peoria area.

A great option if your willing to travel would be Hotstix in Fountain Hills at Sunridge Canyon but not sure what their rates are for fittings, not sure if they allow demos.

Valley Golf Center looks like it may be a good option even if it's not hitting off grass. I'm so used to hitting off grass at my home club(of course it's only open 6 months a year) I forget how difficult it is for other courses to maintain a grass range with the volume of people that go through them. Valley Golf Center is excellent. Great staff who are quite helpful. I demo'd a bunch of irons on simulators before I went to Valley Golf Center for one of their Demo Days. I went on Titleist's website and made an appointment with their club fitter. He had the Trackman set up and we went through a bunch of different shaft and lie settings. I placed the order right then and there. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

I did a driver fitting with Cool Clubs a few years ago on the range at Grayhawk. I would think they are still doing this although I am not sure as I haven't looked into it in a couple years.
