After this recent experience and delivery of two dozen "Mint" Bridgestone Tour B RXS golf balls from Lost Golf Balls.com I just had to VENT... These "mint" and throw away balls got mixed up!!! I would struggle to even call them "good" with alllllll the wear on many... I will never fall for their grading system and marketing again!! I want to save as many of you as possible from wasting your $$ with this outfit... I was happy in the past with their products but it appears recently they either don't have the quality balls to offer or they don't care if their long time customers go somewhere else.... I certainly will be going elsewhere... Buyer beware...

Also avoid FoundGolfBalls.com and HalfPriceGolfBalls.com both owned by The Golf Ball Company. I’m still dealing with this mess!

Good luck to you man. I completely feel your pain as I’m dealing with basically the same thing. In the future, I’ll just wait for a good deal on the ball I play and stock up like 20 dozen each time.

It seems like most of these websites are questionable.

A lot of these balls are probably from lakes too. You never really know what you're going to get.

I had a pretty good experience with FoundGolfBalls.com recently. The Prov1x and Taylormade Tour Preferred 5A are in pretty nice shape. However there are some balls that look worse and could be refinished or from the lake.

And someone else had a terrible experience with them and (fake) Srixon's, see other thread in this forum.

Probably better to just find a good deal on new balls.

There is a possibility that, wait for it, a mistake made!! I have not once had an issue with lostgolfballs.com! And there customer service has been exceptional. Once I took issue with the quality of 3 golf balls and they sent me a whole dozen of perfect golf balls to make up for it.

Reach out to them and they will make it good. If they don't then come back and complain!

I've placed at least a dozen orders with LGB over the years, never even one issue and i'm pretty fussy. I'm sorry to hear they are including refurbished balls in 5A orders....

I made a purchase last spring with LGB that were supposedly 5A TP5x. Out of the 5 dozen ordered there were at least 2 dozen "practice" stamped balls, and several balls that had cuts that were unplayable. However, customer service was great and paid for the shipping back no questions asked and refunded my purchase. Maybe just a mistake, but I'll likely avoid them in the future.

I get all these cases. It's quite subjective to the sorter as to what is 5a 4a etc. Chances are they have a moron sorting who is lazy. There's no way a machine is sorting these balls. That being said, I had ok luck a few years back on some rzn black and platinums. Was about 85/15 good to bad out of my bucket

Just did a search for lostgolfball.com reviews and this thread came up on the first page of results so wanted to provide a more recent update in case anyone else stumbles upon it.

Their quality used to be great. If you ordered Mint 5A balls you'd get balls that were indistinguishable from new. The only thing on them would be pen markings or logos. In the past year the quality has really gone downhill. My last few orders have been 50%+ garbage. Balls that are fully of scuffs and scratches and frankly would be a stretch to match their 3A quality description let alone mint 5A. When I broke it down, I'm paying more money per ball that I'll actually play with on the course (vs throwing it directly into my practice bin) than if I'd just be buying ProV1x's new.

FWIW I bought some 4A ProV1s recently and they were graded accurately and cost well under $1.50 per ball. I’m an 18 cap so that is plenty good for me.

I bought a 48 bucket of 4A TP5X's from them recently. I had 3 that had decent scuffs, another 6 deemed 3A and the rest were pretty good. Definitely not up to the standards from a few years ago, but definitely better than the going rate for these new. I use these as my general round balls, so them not performing to 100% is not that big of a deal. I have a few dozen new balls if I need maximum performance.
