Best Mizuno MP blades that can be had for bargain!

What is the best Mizuno MP blades you can get at a bargain right now?

My friend just purchased near mint MP 32s for $100 (3-PW)!!!

Found MP 37 for $200 (3-PW). Pretty good condition. Anyone gamed these before?

MP4, MP69, MP5. If you could find 33 or 32 in good shape they're awesome but hard to come by. Your friend did well.

Mp68 are the absolute best.

I picked up a set of 32's in July. They are awesome, best looking Mizuno iron in my opinion.

I got very lucky and found a set of MP33's and MP29's at Golf Galaxy for $100 each on the same day. Both are in very good condition, especially the 33's. Apparently the guy had come in the day before and traded both in towards a set of MP20's. They clearly didn't realize what they had and the salesman mentioned he was surprised that the manager had put them up at that price. They were also surprised that I was ready to take both sets home immediately. And golf galaxy almost never has the deals.

Being that just about every blade Mizuno has made is pretty good, it just is about being patient, watching for deals, and finding some with minimal wear.

I'm partial to mp67's when it comes to blades- and they can be found pretty inexpensively

Just picked up an almost mint set of 14's for $125.00. Only club with a hint of a dime mark is the wedge. I'm not saying they are the best but they sure do bring back some memories!

I always liked the MP 37 and 67 lines and the 64s is you want to call them blades. The 63 and 64s were kind of the MP version of the JPX Tours that came out later. Saw a nice used set of MP 29s on each for $149 BIN price earlier today.

This is going to very quickly turn into a thread about which Mizuno MP is the best, as a bunch can be had for decent prices if you keep a good eye on BST and the bay. Nothing wrong with that at all! Love me some MP irons any day...

If you can grab any of MP 29, 33, 69, 4 or 5 in very good shape (and with a shaft you can play) for under $300, that’s a great deal in my book.

Last summer I picked a set of MP14 (great condition) with X100 shafts already installed for $150. I actually loved the MP14's as I had set when they first came out (and still have in S300). The size / shape are similar to the MP18 SC which I currently game. I am thinking about gaming the MP14 full-time this season.

There is a set of MP14 heads (re-fisnished) on eBay for $500. Look gorgeous but I just don't know if anyone would pay that price. They look awesome though!

Have never seen a used set at Golf Galaxy or Golfmart.

I just got a set of MP-33 heads on ebay and I paid way too much for them but the condition is nearly new. I'm going to fit them with S300's and some custom ferrules from Boyd Blade and Ferrule. I quit the game for around 10 years and traded my 33's away. Now I am paying through the nose to get them back in a sense. You can get full sets for much cheaper but oddly enough the 33's seem to go for a higher price than the rest. MP-37's can be had for cheaper, or going further back to the 14's. Tiger played MP-14's many moons ago.

MP-37s usually go for pretty cheap, as do the 67s. I've never played the 67s, but I regret selling my 37s.

MP-4s are also coming down in price now, and they are one of my favourite blades.

But to be honest, you could go back further and still find some great blades from Mizuno (MS-11s etc).

I found a set at 2nd Swing late last summer for roughly that same price. For some reason, they don't command the higher prices you might see with other sets. Or maybe they're all that price and I've just not been paying attention. LOL

Love the 37s. They have a bit of bounce, not unlike the MS-11s I also own, something I appreciate as a slightly steeper swing player. They were reputed to be the lower trajectory Mizuno product when they were introduced. I'd had a set back in the mid-2000s, and based on my use both then and now, my take is they definitely are as advertised. I find them to hit the ball on a lower trajectory than the MS-11s. Not super low, but a good flight. That said, I don't think they're a set that only high trajectory players can use.

Really quite excellent. I'm glad I picked them up. They finished the season in my bag, and will start the season there, unless my inner Ram nerd kicks in hard.

I found a set of MP 29s on eBay for $25. They had a bunch of lead tape on the back and a little browning on the face. After peeling off the lead tape they looked mint. Cleaned the faces up with a little steel wool and they look amazing. I played these all through high school and a little in college back in the day.

I also got a set of MP-29s to play around. Initially found the reverse offset a little weird but actually don’t notice it at all now that I am using them. But the 2,3, 4 irons that came along with it that has nearly no offset scares me - straight butter knives. So they will be gorgeous wall hangers.

Picked up a set of 33's with TI S400s in them for $150 a few years ago. Put up my best scores with those, but now they are just heads sitting in a box. Might end up getting reshafted this season and taken for a whirl.

Just bought a set of MP32s off the classifieds here for $100. PW was rough, but I found one in good condition for $30 on the 'bay. It'll probably run me $50 to get them adjusted for lie (I play flat).

So for $180 I get a sweet set of old-school blades as a backup set. Life is good. :)

They are all pretty similar in price on eBay, it just depends on age and condition. A pristine set of MP-32s will cost you as much as a more worn set of MP-18s. But I would say the more prized -- and expensive -- models tend to be the MP-14, MP-32s, MP-68 and MP-4, and maybe the MP-33. You'll generally find more bargains with the MP-5, MP-67, MP-69 and any of the more cavity back versions -- e.g., MP-60, MP-62 (those are both awesome sets BTW), MP-64, etc.

No love for the 30s or 57s?
