What is wrong with the software?

This is not a Rules Forum issue but as I only visit this one I wanted to ask this from the people I sort of know.

When I start quoting a post I click 'quote' -button. Having done that the screen starts to roll up to a post I am not quoting and the edit -section is lost somewhere down below. So I need to scroll down to the end of the page to reach the edit -section.

Now I start to write my post. Having done that I save it. Now the same thing happens again, my post disappears from the screen and I find myself at a post somewhere 5-20 posts earlier. Well, at this point I wish to read my post again for possible corrections. I scroll down and finally arrive at my post and start editing. Once I have finished and save it the scrolling starts again.

WTF?!??!? This software did not do this some months ago!! What has happened??

I have the same issues, more so when I'm using my Mac and Safari. It seems a little more stable on Windows with Firefox...

I don't know what's going on but it's the same for me (Windows & Chrome). This software seems like a whole load of c**p.

Embedding pictures, videos etc. has become easier but the deterioration of the most commonly used functionalities have made the whole experience a lot worse.

I'm about to embark on a gin and tonic, so perhaps in an hour or so the world will be less bumpy. ?

Gin can do that? I’m in!

Yes, that is what it does to me on iPhone. I brought it up a while ago in the “help” section and don’t know if it is considered a bug or not.

My first thought was some sort of a centaur barbie doll but after googling it, I'm even more confused about what Sui might've been up to.

Same issues here as the OP, and same experience with Windows 10 and Firefox.

Windows 10 and Chrome has the issue.

Android based Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 phones running Android 9 also have the same issue (among others aka the weird scroll / flicker)

Yes, wrangling with Caribou Barbie sounds rather unnatural. Do we need to worry about Brother Sui? Who do we need to call?

I fear though that the GHIN system was re-designed by the same folks that got their hands on WRX.

Mr bean described it in the first post. The screen will scroll to unpredictable positions. Then have to scroll to the edit box to type.

Similar things happen when going in to read a thread. It may or may not take me to the last unread post. It probably won’t do that.

Here are some points:

Can't edit the quoted postCan't read the whole quoted post and being forced to scroll back and forth to check everything that was writtenThe above gets even more irritating when you're looking at several previous posts (what you wrote previously and the replies, for example), you practically need to open other browser tabs for it when it expands to two different pagesThe (almost) hidden list left of the "Comment Field" with all the functionalities, which are three clicks away as opposed to being readily available at the top of the comment fieldThe 15-second browser freeze when the system auto-saves the draft every single minute (that's 25% of time spent writing a reply)Inability to delete quotes directly from the comment field in mobileThe scrolling issues on mobile when there's a quote in the comment field (although ads might be a contributing factor too)Why are the links to different sections of the forum (Home - Website Help...) beneath the comment field on the right side of the page? We open the threads by clicking a link that's located on the left side of the page and then scroll down without moving the cursor. The links back should definitely be in line on the left side of the page to remove the need to move the cursor as opposed to being next to the "Post Comment" box.

And no possibility to underline words unlike before.
