With 26 players, mathematically each has a 3,85% chance to win; can't complain about that.

Nelly Korda has the most to gain if she wins; she'll get one step closer to world #1 ranking.

However, Inbee Park is the most dangerous. She's on a fast track to an Olympics birth; she won't take any prisoners.

I didn't realize you can enter being a winner in one of the last two seasons. Seems kind of strange.

Also surprised Inbee really wants to play in the Olympics again. Kind of hard to do any better than she did last time, and win or lose it's not going to change much. I guess the greats always think they can do it one more time and find motivation to prove others wrong.

Should she make the team, I predict she will give up her spot if SYR is in the number 5 spot (not optimistic on this though).

Inbee has been a part time player for the last 2-3 years; but not this year.

She's entered six of the first seven tournaments; the only tournament she skips is Honda Thailand.

For some reasons; So Yeon Ryu and Sung Hyun Park also skip Thailand.

Still seems weird having an event with so few players. Tough to pick a winner. Does late season form ever carry over into the new year after a long layoff? Eun-Hee's win last year was a bit of a surprise.

I think I'll go with Nelly. She finished 3rd here last year. Brooke should do well also.

Weather looks good, except for the chance of rain on Sunday. Wouldn't be surprised to see them move up the tee times if necessary.

Brooke, 22, and Nelly, 21, are good bets; any tournament this year.

Nelly should move to World #2 if she wins.

Will we see a prime Inbee this year; my bet is yes.

It's good to get the new season started, I'm gonna start the season by picking my girl Brooke for the win. I'm hoping a weekend Flu won't wreck her weekend again this year.

Inbee looked a little out of sorts last season. Lingering injury, or fatigue? She didn't play much, so I'd say it was more rust than fatigue. It'll be in to see if the Olympics put a spark in her game.

I never doubt Inbee, but this week could be tough for her, this one plays long usually with the AMs cause most are scratch golfers. And if it's close among players on Sunday the 18th is gonna play, it's a beast from what I remember.

LPGA created that farce for no reasons at all; speaking of a bunch of clowns.

I agreed that Brooke, being wholesome and humble, would've to carry an unnecessary burden all her life.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brooke won the actual voting; but LPGA did the right thing at the end.

Brooke and Nelly are always favorites especially around here, in reality any player in the top 10 is a pretty good bet any week.

It's predictable to say Jin Young is gonna be a week in and week out name picked on this forum as well, along with Brooke and Nelly.

I like DK this week. Marina and Georgia sound like nice contenders as well.

Wow. Lydia is starting her 7th season. Brooke her 6th. I guess both would be considered journey woman at this point, but that's crazy talk.

Brooke disagrees she said 5th in an interview I heard earlier. Semantics I guess she played 10 or 11 events in 2015 and became an official tour member in August of that year.

Lydia has taken a totally different approach to this season.

She chooses to continue her intense training in Korea and skip the first two Florida events as well as Vic Open.

Her first tournament will be Women's Australian Open.

Her motto seems to be "fitter, stronger and better".

2015 was her official rookie season according to the LPGA.

Like I said it's sorta semantics, she didn't accept LPGA membership until August and close to a million in earnings doesn't count towards her career earnings plus all her top 10 that year don't count. I also wonder because she wasn't a member if the point towards the Hall of Fame will count it would be kinda bush league if they didn't. Like I said she perceives her start to her LPGA career was 2016 but I can't argue if others disagree with her.

Sounds like she's simply trying to rewrite history. I think most folks here believe she should have deferred membership until 2016. She would have likely beat In Gee for Rookie of the Year honors.

Learn something new every day. Never heard of this. 50% seems like too high of an amount of women to be effected by it. Can't help it, by my mind immediately went to another lpga pro who just announced her pregnancy and has injury issues. I hope she avoids this issue.

In Gee birdied her first hole, par 5 #10, sky is the limit.

It's only a couple holes in of the first event but Ariya seems to be repeating last season with the bad opening rounds +2 after 3 holes

I'll be there on Saturday. Gotta start my 8 month old on getting used to the LPGA circuit...

Amy Yang has been practicing frequently leading up to this. She's the home club hero for us right now so hope she does well.

Jennifer Song has been practicing quite a bit as well but I dont believe she's playing in this event.

Was looking at the celeb leaderboard and I'm kinda disappointed in the LPGA and diamondresorts allowing Justin Verlander to be part of this event, he's a big part of one of the greatest sport cheating story of the century. I really hope they don't interview the player playing with him to get the "he's a great guy and fun to play with" sorta comment cause it will be a bad look for the player with the public at large.
