Harmon Golf any members?

Joined Harmon today pretty excited. Few questions if anyone are members.

How busy does it really get? Im sure during the week the range is fine but what about the course? Wednesday League and weekend league. How are they? Competative or casual?Member tournaments are there many? How are they run? Long rounds or normal that would be expected?Best teacher for a tuneup? Looking forward to being able to work on my game for MGA season. Hopefully see some members there!!

I have been a member for about 14 years, when I took up the game:

The course can get very busy on weekends. If you are one of the first few groups to tee off early, the front 9 is usually pretty good, it's when you make the turn that you may encounter a back up. A little bit of both. They are casual in the sense you don't see many "intense" golfers, but it's still competitive. For the most part, the membership is pretty laid back. Not many. There is there Simeone Cup...which is a team event. The Harmon Cup, which is a team match play tournament that takes place over the summer, as well as an individual match play tournament. And the Club Championship. There are also a couple ABCD tournaments. The rounds in tournaments take longer than a normal round would, and generally are run quite well. That said, Harmon is my only experience with tournaments, so I really don't have anything to compare it with. Lee Khang, bar none. He is a real student of the game, and is constantly looking for ways to teach the golf swing. He is a good friend of mine and I can get you in touch with him. He got his daughter on the LPGA Tour (Megan Khang), and he is a very good golfer in his own right. His short game is ridiculous, as is his putting. A couple of other notes: For the price, it is hard to beat, especially if you use the facility. The short game practice area is a great feature (along with the short course), as well as a gym membership included with your dues. Being able to hit balls in the winter is a real plus, and the bays now have TopTracer, which also include courses you can play while at the range. It is also a very easy course to walk. The course is short..but very demanding...as it is littered with hazards. It can get frustrating as you can hit a good shot and still end up in a hazard or OB. That said, you will never have to buy a golf ball again, if you don't mind doing a bit of looking, lol. For a 9 hole course it gets a lot of play, and can a get beat up. We have a new superintendent, so we are all curious to see how things shape up this season. If you plan on using the facility on a regular basis, I don't see where you can find a better value for all that you get. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I take lessons from Shawn Hester at Harmon in the fall and winter

That is my winter routine...the gym and then the range (or sometimes just the range). The TopTracer was recently added and is a nice feature.
