@easyyy

@Gxgolfer

Have we lost our ability within our own profile to see who has liked a post? I can view who left a "like" for other WRX members but not my own. When I click on my number of likes this error message pops up. Seems odd I can view who liked another members posts but not my own. On a W7 desktop, Chrome browser. This issue began yesterday (1/12). Explanation please. Guessing it's another one of the many unexplained Vanilla software "glitches" from the forum upgrade.

EDIT: Issue resolved.

    Just looked at my profile. I used to have over 100 "likes", and now it shows 6. I at least want to point this out if it is a bug.

    Also looks like feedback score may be coming back when you hover over an avatar. I think I had two positives with more transactions than that.

    I'm missing 25,000 likes but that's a story from the old GolfWRX website.

    LOL, yep won't talk about the 15,000+ lost from before, but looks like around 3400+ disappeared from the new version after what appears to be starting over yet again when I checked after noticing this thread. But I still have the weird 2500 likes "badge"!

    Site vanishes all those and can't vanish my 18 "abuse" friends, haha?

    Upside down!

    It may be that they give badges and you have to add your current like total to the current badge. This is just a guess on my part, but I have 3 badges, one for first 5 likes, then one for 25 and finally one for 100. Plus my current list of 12 means I have had 112 likes. Again, I am just guessing here.

    So looking at Puttersaurus Rex profile, it looks like you have 108 likes.

    each 100 likes and reset the counter.

    I'm probably wrong, but before the likes disappeared, my "likes" number was the same as my "points" number. So, my guess is that points = likes, or something very similar.

    10,000+ lost for me. At least I think it was....but maybe it was flagged complaints. The memory is not clear.

    I had 919 likes as of last night and have 1,155 points. 5 likes now. Have no idea what the correlation if any exists between the two. Had over a couple of thousand likes before the switch to this software.

    My feedback score of 10 has been returned and is actually correct. <yeah golf clap>. However that appears to come at a cost of all WRX members losing their most current liked posts from the software switch. Naturally that is coupled with long time members losing all of their likes from the original WRX software. Those numbers should carry over. Especially since the number of forum posts have., Guess this is a case of another alleged software improvement from Vanilla.

    While the B/S/T feedback numbers being returned is long overdue what about the actual verbiage left that matches our feedback number? While a feedback number is great the detail that makes it up is more relevant. To wit a member could have a feedback score of 15, 20, 200, etc but if their last few feedback under the old software were negative how would anybody know? We wouldn't. Hopefully this type of information is eventually included. A current update from WRX where the forum conversion/"upgrades" are would be welcome.

    From the past roll-outs, I don't blame management for being cautious with feedback changes. Everyone will have opinions and/or pitchforks depending on what happens. We can at least see this recent change, and I do not blame them for not over promising and under delivering if their plan or timeline does not work.

    In respect to likes, not too important for me. Just observing the change, and wanted to comment since I had not seen anything about it.

    No response as yet as to the glitch, if it is just a temporary glitch, that has caused this issue for a second time.

    Despite member interest in "likes", management appears to place very little priority on deficiencies in this area.

    Maybe they should just change the "WRX Points" under our username to "Likes" at this point..

    And you are right to question. No explanation ahead of time, no response to the posts raising the question now it's happened twice when it wasn't supposed to happen again. Is it the biggest deal in the world? No. Is is something the site thought had value in the past and has continued? Yes. So why keep **** around with them? Reset the silly flags to zero or better yet just dump them. If the old likes were lost forever just like a lot of the BST issues - yep spilt milk many, many months ago and "forgiven". But after starting over, now everybody starts over again, but no explanation. The "abuse" flags were supposed to disappear - nothing done with with that. They are silly and useless and "abused", lol. But overnight resetting "likes" for no reason? Yes, it is a little irksome. Responsiveness to the questions raised in this part of the forum has seemed to slow noticeably and those of us who have remained steadfast and accepting of the the changes (and supportive, and I still am) don't need a lot to keep us happy, but give us something. ;-)

    As mentioned in another thread, the likes import from the previous board failed. We asked them to investigate and they asked us for more info

    Please provide some specific examples for investigation to restore.

    Why was my thread from earlier this week merged into another one that was not the same topic? What changed with likes this week is what was asked. I am not complaining about likes from the old site at all.

    Ok. Everybody that has posted in this thread (and possibly the entire site) had their "likes" reset to zero on or near January 13th 2020 with the possible exception of yourself apparently. The flavor of the month continues to taste blander and blander.

    Agree with ThinkingPlus.

    not sure how it’s possible to not understand what people are talking about in this thread.

    if you want a specific example. I currently have 2 likes.

    if I scroll down to the actual posts that people liked, I see one post alone that has 33 likes.

    so the complaint is that the likes we’ve received since the board switched over have recently reset to zero.

    I think the posts I this thread have all provided specifics - maybe the issue is assuming that folks are talking about what happened with the original changeover. It is only being mentioned because all the likes accumulated after the original loss/reset disappeared again recently.

    If you look at my profile as an example you'll see the little badges below - number 8 with the little thumbs up shows 2500 level, had over 3400 before the recent disappearance. As of the typing of this post looks like 80 likes under "Reactions" since the recent disappearance.

    Hope that helps.
