Players iron with some offset

Hi everyone, currently been playing mp68 for years now. before tracking down another set i thought i would throw this out there. the new mp20 seem to have less offset than i currently like. i haven't had the opportunity to really see whats out there in person so any advice would be great. would love to stick with a blade but from the little i have seen there isnt much out there like the mp68. thanks all

if you're willing to step away from a major OEM, check out sub70 golf. I played the 639MB all year and they're great clubs for a hell of a price. performance and feel is up there with anything for $500 less

He’s right they make top notch clubs. My skill level doesn’t match up well with the 639MB but I play another set of their irons and they hold their own against any of the big OEM sets I tried last year.

Players irons with offset are a rare beast. The ones that come to mind are New Level 1031 and Cobra Forged Tec. Both of these are cavity backs. For a blade, I'm not sure truthfully. I don't know any blade that has noticeably more offset than another, but then again I haven't looked that closely.

I play Adams mb2 in raw. They are blades. Beautiful clubs . they have just a touch of offset.

Mizuno MP-20 MMC. Slightly more offset than your 68’s in the long irons and a fraction less offset in the scoring irons.

could always loft some players irons a little stronger... get closer to modern lofts and yield more offset.

You could play mp-14 long irons with mp-29 short irons. The reverse Tiger setup.

I've seen the Miura 501 and they are a bit long heel to toe. hit a friends 718ap2 the other day and they actually looked good but the feel is not even close to Mizuno. also hit the T100 but those let worse than the 718ap2. feeling like I should take a hard look at the mp20 mmc.

Srixon Z785 or really any 7 series iron. Just the right amount of offset, inviting heel to toe, thin top line.

Stenson Legacy Blacks are one of the more friendly players irons, they have some offset. Superb feel with a fair bit of mass on the toe for added forgiveness, wider sole than most player style irons. Stenson could play any iron he wants but plays these, one of the best ball strikers on the planet.

Check out JDM clubs. They tend to have more. I was surprised with the offset on the MP55 compared to MP54 when I visited Tokyo a couple years ago. Bridgestone has some forged CB irons with more offset as well.

(Edit: OP I misread that you were asking about blades not Players CB.)

Surprised the Apex MB haven’t been mentioned. Butter soft and the right amount of offset. As much as I loved my MP20 (probably the softest irons I’ve ever hit) there’s something a bit strange looking about them. I could never put my finger on it but I don’t love how the offset is blended or something.

Cobra forged tech are stupid easy to hit but still have a great shape with friendly offset. For blades, the older Titleist models tend to have a touch of offset. Ap2 for cb and also I find Bridgestone has a little more offset in long irons.

The Hogan PTX Pro has a little offset and has a blade look to it. Plus the lofts are not much stronger than the MP68.

I second the Callaway Apex MB. They certainly don't have a lot of offset but just slightly more than most blades out there in my experience. The feel is also in the Mizuno realm being on the softer side of the blade spectrum.

So do the OG PTx and the Ft. Worth blades. I couldn't stand the look of offset until I hit my PTx's, then the hatred subsided.
