Any idea how many were made and how they became available? Does Augusta stamp mean they were only sold in the member's shop?

Absolutely. That's a very rare one of a kind type of stick, and often those don't go the distance as somebody makes them an offer to take it down.

I thought about contacting the seller but I put it in my watch list instead and was going to see how the bidding went. I'm sure after it was posted here someone from WRX ended up snagging it.

Would love to know what it sold for. Often times the seller loses out if they aren't sure what they have. May have made more by allowing the auction to go the distance.

I would say the price would be in the 4 figures, closer to 5 figures. Being that the putter is in original mint condition with grip in wrapper with original head cover this is a definite collector's item. This one just might eclipse $10,000 for the right collector but my gut tells me somewhere in the $6K-$8K range.

Note: I am not a collector so when in doubt visit the collector site dedicated to this brand of putter. I'd ask Vog but we're not on speaking terms.

Not trying to hijack a thread, but is there anyway this putter was a member shop putter? I’ve tried to find out info on it and haven’t had any luck Wilson hasn’t been able to tell me anything. Also, not worried about the value, it’s staying with me

I would say that this putter was sold in the pro shop or was a special order by ANGC for the club and selected personnel. There is no way that the Augusta National Golf Club logo is put on any club without the authorization of the Chairman himself.

He got back with me today and sold for $1,975. Not terrible I guess. Also said he has a gold one too? idk what that one would be

Good grief, the Cameron collector market sure isn't what it once was prior to the recession of 2008-2009. That putter would have garnered upper 4 figures prior. Did the seller say who the collector is who purchased it?

He did not, I don't know a whole lot about these but I would have bought for close to that $2,000 number. Curious what that gold 1997 one he has is
