PING G400 max / standard / LST

Hey everyone, just looking for some advice from some of you with experience with variations of the Ping G400 driver range. I have used the G25 since it came out and sadly its becoming time to switch ( I won a fancy new shaft and the G25 has broken 5 shafts at the hosel, not about to sacrifice this one). The G400 will be on sale for around $300 shortly and I have a gift card which I intend to use toward it. I love the look of the G400 but can't stand the G410. I tested both and found the performance was almost identical for me. I don't struggle with distance and definitely value forgiveness over anything. Have any of you gone with the std.G400 or LST and wished you went for the MAX? If I had the choice I would probably just go with the MAX but its not offered for leftys at my local store where I have credit. I have tested the standard G400 and found i gained some club head speed and lowered spin, but its hard to tell how the club really performs until I take it out on the course. Basically, anybody here notice much of a difference between the standard and the MAX? I am looking to find something as close to the G25 as possible (that doesn't murder my shafts)

I play a G LST with Tour R shaft and played a round in Vegas with a G400 Max with some other R shaft. I did not like the G400 Max with the R shaft in Vegas. The shaft was a lot softer than the Ping Tour R shaft and I hit high balloons the entire round. My advice is to not buy until you can try them out and get the right head/shaft combo.
