Aldila 2kxv NV Blue Hybrid Shaft

Anybody with any experience of these? Or the 2kxv series in general?

I'm looking for a hybrid with abit easier launch than my current Diamana D+90HY X Flex and I managed to pick an Aldila Blue 2kxv NV 90H X for a bargain price to try. I've played Diamana Kaili/B-Series/BF in 70/80x in my fairway woods for a while and always tipped them 0.5 inch, so I was wondering if I should tip the Aldila Hybrid the same as it's a similar mid kick/launch design? Just worried that it may get too stiff as I tend to find hybrid shafts stiffer than their wood versions.

Interested in anyones with any experience of the 2kxv nv series shaft.....

Havn't tried the hybrid but love the 2kxv NV blue wood shafts. Mid to low-mid launch. In general, the Aldila Blue's tend to run a touch firmer in the butt-mid than the Diamana's so might feel a little bit firmer but it's hard to say since everyone has different swings and different sensitivities. Also, I find the distinctions are more apparent in the wood shafts than in the hybrid shafts.

I might tip hybrid shaft the same as you did the D+ hybrid but I wouldn't use wood shaft tipping as a basis for what to do in the hybrid. Any more tipping and you no longer will have the higher launch profile you want in the first place. Better yet, just start with the recommended amount of tipping based on the hybrid head weight. Then butt cut to a playing length 1" longer than the desired playing length. Go test it choking up to the desired length and see how it feels. That will leave you some room to go back and tip if it does end up feeling too soft. Once you get the feel right, then go back and butt cut to the final playing length.
