Quick question - I bought and paypaled a member for a Scratch wedge about a week ago. Member has not replied to a PM, but I can view their profile to see they have logged on, but haven’t responded to a PM. At what point do I escalate with Paypal to get the money back? I don’t want to cause any stress, just hoping to have an update on my purchase. Hopefully everything is ok with the member...I like to think the best of people.

If they have logged on multiple times since you asked for an update I would escalate with PP now. It appears they are avoiding answering you fro some reason and that almost never ends good for you. Filing a PP dispute might get their attention and don't close it until you actually have the product in your hands.

I will do that - they said they would ship by Thursday or Friday and we’re nearing on that being a week old. I get things happen, but I just need some communication to that fact. Reputable member from what I can see, which is why I am not adding the information here.

If you want to get a response from them, send a final message with an ultimatum - respond with the info I’m looking for by x o’clock, or I file a dispute and name you in a DonD thread.

This is why feedback coming back is long overdue. Hopefully it is back enough for you to leave feedback for this transaction to warn others about this guy’s slow shipping and terrible communication. I agree and disagree with that all at the same time. The main reason I asked is because I didn’t know what to do or if I needed to escalate. Once feedback comes back, this will be a much easier thing to have and honestly, some times people have stuff happen to them and forget to get back to someone. I am good with things right now and I don’t see the need to “out” someone.

If there is credible reasons why someone is not responding (and over the years there mostly wasn't) then the person can post in the thread. It would actually help their reputation IMHO.
