Taylormade Trade In Program

I'm contemplating using the program towards the purchase of SIM driver, has anyone had issues with them saying they clubs are not in good enough condition for the values given?

I've got an M4 with some small scratching on the crown, but otherwise fantastic condition. I'm concerned I'd be on the hook for the remaining cost if they don't take it at full value.

Post a pic. Were there different condition categories you had to choose? If anything I think they'd knock it down to the next lower value but you're probably fine. Not on TM but other trade sites I've always picked the "good" option (one less than NEW) and always got full value I was quoted even with clubs showing the usual crown scratches and some minor dummy marks.

I’ll have an answer in a couple of days. I just sent a box full of clubs in trade for a SIM Max. There was no grading of the condition of the club. Mine were in very good condition so I expect no issues. The 150% trade value was too good not to try. One nice thing is that I’m in the northeast and my clubs were shipped to North Carolina and not California. That should limit the chance for damage during shipping.

The trade ins are handled by global golf if I’m understanding that right. Traded in a driver and received full price for the trade. No issues at all and the sim driver actually arrived Tuesday and trade in credit hit Wednesday. Everything was really smooth.

Traded many times with GG and TM (same). Only once had them send it back. It was a yes! Putter that was not the correct model. They are extremely accepting. Their trade values with the 150% are some of the best.

Just shipped out almost $500 worth of clubs (after bonus trade in...set of irons, 2 drivers and a 3 wood) yesterday and got notice that my 2 SIM hybrids were shipped today. I guess we will see how it all shakes out, but all has been really easy so far. Free shipping after signing up for an account for my clubs going out as well as the clubs headed my way. Will updates after all shakes out.

Dealt with them a few times. Each time was easy. Shipping was fast too.

Yes, the trade-in works...150% for the SIM.....just add to cart and view where you will be able to apply your trade-in information.

When I talked to customer service they indicated the bonus would run through March but no firm date was given.

Just received an email back from Taylormade (I inquired on Monday and finally heard back today) that the promotion is supposed to run through 3/7. However, they indicated it could stop early if they deemed it necessary. Not really sure what that means, but I'm going to get mine taken care of in the next few days.

I’m curious about my trade in credit. Sent clubs in great shape but now I have a fed ex notification from Global Value Commerce for a 10 LB shipment. Has only been a couple weeks since I shipped my trade in items and included packing list and followed all the rules. Kind of curious why I’m getting a load of clubs from 3balls golf now...guess if they turn down my trade in, I’ll ship the driver back and fight the price with credit card company.

You would think they would've notified for you of a rejection by now if that were the case.

Keep us up to date on this. I am curious what happened. I am debating on trading in my club with them or a local golfheadquaters. TM trade in value is slightly higher by about $50 but at my local shop I can get the driver right away and know for sure my trade ins are accepted. Plus the the Cobra SZ is included in the bonus trade in which gives me another option between Sim, Mavrik, and Speedzone.

Looks like i'm getting about half of the credit promised based on a call with TM. Still not sure what all is being shipped back to me, but based on the quote, it must be a set of AP2 714 irons which were in great shape and gave me $255 credit for. It was odd as she was reading, mention one item wasn't in the box and another was mis described. I actually checked everything off on the packing list, so I'm very curious what disappeared. Makes me wish 3 balls used actual pics on Ebay to see if my "missing" item gets sold there as I have pretty good pics of everything that was shipped. Now I'm thinking about just returning the driver for principal. I guess I should have just traded in person somewhere as this hasn't went very well at all. After seeing the reviews about spin rates, this may be a return or a quick dump sadly.

I might be in the same boat. I Shipped 8 clubs about 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard anything. I have my SIM driver but am concerned about the trade in. No update. No status check capability. Let’s see what happens.

That stinks. However you weren't really talking to TM. The parent company of 3Balls/Global Golf handles all the of trade ins for TM and anything traded into via the PGA Value Guide. I traded in to taylormade and got my 150% credit. I didn’t receive a notice or anything. I saw this thread and decided to check out my CC statement and sure enough there was my credit.

Just a quick update. I received my refund confirmation email this evening for the full 150%. Thank You TaylorMade!! I’m going to be ordering the SIM Max 3 wood later today cause this process was great. I know how the internet works and it’s too coincidental that I posted my message a few days ago and suddenly received my refund email this evening so Thank You to the person at TaylorMade that is watching this thread. It means a lot!!

I got notification when they received my trade, when inspection was done, and when I was credited back

it was very smooth

I’ll post pics of what was returned back to me so everyone can judge for themselves if their things are worth sending in. I’m shocked really after buying clubs from 3 balls in the past seeing the conditions of clubs I’ve received. The TM rep on the phone said “maybe they didn’t need those.” Which led me to believe that even though items pop up on TM menu, they might not be accepted in the end.

I ordered my Sim on 1/28 directly through TaylorMade and shipped my trades off on 1/29. I got notification last night I was getting the full 150% for the three clubs I sent off. According to the email it takes 5-7 working days for the credit to show up on credit card used.

I ordered 1/24. My trade in items were received 2/3, full credit hit my credit card last night.

Looking like this is a 3 week process
