I noticed these on Tourspecgolf.com. obviously there has been speculation about some players irons being made by Miura etc, is this news or was it already out there?

I ordered a set using a Japanese proxy. Saved over a 1000 bucks compared to tourspec lol. It's in the way to me now!!

I don’t understand how these irons can cost more then miura’s own brand irons.

It would cost Miura a lot more to make a set of "Callaway" irons than it would to make a model of his own, and not as if Miura would carry on selling them for 4 or 5 years like they do with their own models

do You think Miura takes the time and care to make callaway irons like they do their own. Do you think the Calloway Miura is a good as Miura brand irons?

It's not very difficult to pick a few dozen heads that may or may not quite meet your own specs and standard(s). Miura is very stringent in their selection method, especially with weight of the respective head.

Miura needs to make money on them. Callaway needs to make money on them. That's just for starters. If the run is limited, then the price will likely be higher.It's a simple matter of specifying it in the contract. Let's say I build refrigerators under my own brand, but I also build them for others. The contract may specify higher quality levels (tighter tolerances for example) or components that cost more or require more testing. Or they can go the other way and accept more variation, or some lower cost materials to hit a price point.

Last November, a certain golf studio in Japan updated a blog about MiuraGiken's TB-ZERO irons. They are the same as MB-101 of Miuragolf. The post outed that "a certain most popular pro in Japan" had been using the irons which engraved with the logo of "a super big company", and his spare irons got in good with "a major champion". The names are probably Ryo Ishikawa, Callaway, and Francesco Molinari.

Why do irons that are too demanding for my game, too expensive for me to buy and on the other side of the world still interest me. They are freaking beautiful!!

The MB-101 (Global) is the MB-5003 (Giken).

The TB-Zero (Giken) has not be released yet here in The States (Global).

Beautiful, just beautiful, but how much better are they than the DOT raw version of the Callaway MB, which are amazing, soft, responsive and you feel like you can do anything you want with them?

Miura still forges clubs for pros who play other oems...some i should say.
