He's been doing a lot of testing. Mizuno ST200, TM SIM, now Maverik. It will be interesting to see what he lands in for the long haul. Love seeing the nike guys test clubs, best thing to happen for gear junkies in a long time.

What do you mean by “Nike guys”? Tiger, Jason Day, and Rory are contracted with TM, Brooks is the only free agent.

Ok, I just asked a question referring to what he meant by Nike guys, maybe there is something I'm not seeing. SO there are a few other nike clothing guys out there that are free agents in terms of clubs. Tommy fleetwood is another Nike guy, I just don't see the connection of Nike guys and being a free agents, as I'd guess there are plenty of free agents out there that have clothing sponsors with various brands.

He’s talking about the guys that were under contract to Nike at the time they pulled out of making equipment. They were allowed to play whatever they wanted while still receiving the remaining money left on their club deal from Nike and if they signed elsewhere before the contract was up they lost a percentage of the remaining dollars on their club deal. Tiger, Rory and Day have signed new deals either after their contracts ended or close to it. Fleetwood, Kopeka, Reed all have remained club free agents

correct. He never played the equipment. After adidas sold Taylormade then he was signed to wear Nike apparel.

Just picked up my Mavrik Driver and 4 Wood today. Got fitted for the standard driver and 4 wood. Driver had much better dispersion than my EFSZ 3D. Looking forward to getting it out on the course in a couple of weeks.

So Brooks is testing something we can never get our hands on unless we have an insider and Callaway thinks we will buy Maverik because it has the same name and color as the retail version?? I wonder how many tour players use the retail version head we can buy???

They all played Nike equipment before Nike golf went tits up. Fleetwood is another guy who I believe is a free agent as well as Paul Casey and across Fisher. Most if not all still have their apparel deals, but not all signed new club deals after Nike bailed on golf equipment. Reed and Koepka have both flat out said they don't want to sign a single manufacturer deal because they want to be open to play whatever they think is best for them regardless of brand.
