Orlando Course Conditions Feb 2020

Golf trip to Orlando coming up FEB 22-24. I wanted to check on Orlando Course Conditions. There used to be an active thread on this but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone let me know what course conditions are like for what we have booked?

I havent played those in quite some time but they should all be good.

I played Winter Pines this weekend and its a pile of garbage, but thats expected.

My buddies trip was the last week of January; we played Tranquilo on Friday the 31st. It was immaculate. The greens were firm, held properly struck approach shots and pitches, and ran very true. Bunkers were very consistent with sand that seemed new but not fluffy, very solid. I suspect we enjoyed the after effects of the LPGA event that was a week or so prior to our visit, but I bet you'll have a similar experience. around a few tee boxes you could see the remnants of the temporary stands that were up for the event, but nothing that was in play. Also of note, they have a brand new fleet of awesome Club Cars that have LED headlights and horns, and are appointed with super comfortable seats. same great GPS touchscreen system they have had for a couple of years. Falcon's Fire makes me nervous, but the rest should be in decent shape.

Tranquilo is such a fun layout; IMO it's the best track you can play in central FL. I think you'll do fine with Falcon's Fire; it probably won't blow your socks off but it should be very serviceable. Panther Lake is an awesome layout too, and drinks are super cheap. Celebration is fun; you should have a great trip!

How did you get a round at Tranquilo, who did you contact? Going out that way in March and looking to setup a few rounds.

Played down at OCN Feb 9-10. Courses are in pretty good condition. I liked the layout of Panther Lake more than Crooked Cat, but overall fairways in good shape and greens were fast. It was quite windy that weekend so I assume the greens were drying out.

I just played Bay Hill on Monday and it was in great condition..but that probably doesn't count.

We book our trip through TeeTimesUSA every year; this was our 11th year in a row. We have been extremely happy with them. You can get on Tranquilo in the afternoons - the place is always virtually empty by then. Apparently, members play early in the day and it clears out.

We had the pro at our club set the time up at Tranquilo. Obviously not everyone has this option. Sounds like based on a previous post teetimesusa can help you out also. Great people over at Teetimesusa. Very helpful.

When do they close it to prepare for the tournament?

Not sure. Earliest tee time they do right now though is 11. They are actively working on the course, setting up and what not.

Peak condition through out Florida right now. No worries.

played Celebration and Panther Lake last week. Both were in great shape.

Tuesday, Feb 25. Closing 4 days early this year due to the heavy rain from earlier in the winter.

The API is March 4-8
