Just wondering if anyone has done some testing between these two drivers and what they like or don't like between the two, which is better to them. Looks wise I like the SIM but I feel like TS3 is a bit more forgiving on slight miss hits and think they're about the same length wise from what I was seeing. I've played M1 and M5 and a superfast burner before that so having a hard time not wanting to buy a different brand driver. Wanting to move on from the M5 into a SIM or the TS3. Have the TS3 fairway and it's the best and easiest to hit fairway from tee and fairway that I've ever had so leaning toward wanting a TS3 driver but also feel like I should stick with TM.

SIM - less fluctuation in spin. More consistent ballspeed across the face. Longer on misses.

Ts3 - may be a touch faster in the sweetspot. Very good driver but misses spin up or drop spin a lot.

Ts3 weight doesn't do much. SIM weight has big time affect on flight.

The bottom line is that the chances of you shooting better scores with one over the other if they're fitted to you is pretty much zero. We'll be able to say that for quite a long time. Play whatever you feel comfortable with and know deep-down, that you're not giving up anything with any of the current driver offerings. If you like TaylorMade, then stick with it because it usually won't make a noticeable difference.

I have a TS3 and while it's a great driver, I saw improved ball speed and reduced spin with the SIM Max. Different shafts so not a direct comparison, but I ended up in a 10.5 Max set one lower with Hzrdus Green 70 6.0. EvenFlow T-1100 stiff in the TS3.

Not too far off, there are other factors involved though.

There comes a point where a distance gain of 3-5 yards is insignificant compared to hitting it where you want to more often. If you are fit by someone competent in their craft (most of the time) any difference in brands will become dare I say, insignificant. It becomes more important how the club sets up to you and allows you to see your lines better. Just my humble opinion. YMMV.

I noticed the lie angles were a lot different with SIM at 56* and TS3 58.5* so in that regard the Titleist would fit me more. Basically trying to find out if TS3 is low spinning enough for you high spin players like myself (play M5 weights both forward/center all the way) and which driver is more forgiving.

I just upgraded on the spot after hitting the SIM Max. I was playing the 2017 M2 driver and thought that it was good enough, but when switching to the SIM the uptick in carry distance and reduction in roll was eye popping. I was carrying 15 yds on average more and off center hits were unbelievable. I have never purchased a new driver before yesterday, but I can't say enough good things about the SIM Max. For reference, my swing speed last year was around 105 mph and the SIM Max was yielding 111 mph.

I know I know, I’m redirecting an old thread here, but instead of creating a new one about the exact thing I’d just post in one that already existed;

I game a TS3 with a t1100 stiff and hit it as good as anything I’ve ever hit since I was 16. (38 now)

I bought my son (12) a Sim Max and also got a senior shaft and cut it down for him. Figured he can grow into the full length Diamana white in stiff it came with.

I decided to put the full length shaft in it and just compare my gamer to the Sim. I don’t know if it’s the shallow vs deep face difference, or the shafts are that different but I just couldn’t hit the sim well at all. Out of 10 balls I had maybe 2 that were good and they were essentially the same as my TS3. The rest were just flat out terrible.

obviously the Indian more than the arrow, but for me, i could not find the sweet spot consistently at all. I seemed to keep missing it low on the face so I guess I am just used to deep face drivers.

the few I caught in the sweet spot were very nice penetrating flighted shots. I have to say I like the muted sound of the sim. I can see why people really like them. I really wanted to like it but it just wasn’t even close for me so I hurried up and put it back in my sons bag before he noticed. Haha
