Just curious how everyone else arranges their clubs in their bags? I have a Callaway stand bag and have them laid out as you can see in the picture. It just seems like I'm always rooting through my woods and longer irons to get to my wedges and putter that are used a lot more often. Do any of you keep your short irons or putter toward the top? That's always seemed weird to me but I'm thinking about doing that since I don't play fairway woods or a 4 iron much.

I have the Vessel Player Stand bag with the 6 way divider. Bag's in the car so no photo but the arrangement goes:

Top: Driver & Putter

Middle Top Left: 3W

Middle Top Right: 5W

Middle Bottom Left: 19/21° Hybrids

Middle Bottom Right: 5/6/7

Bottom: 8, 9, PW, 52°, 56°

I keep the driver and putter in the same one because it's the outermost pocket (whether on the stand or on a cart) and more often than not, those are the two clubs I'll need most during a round. They're just easier to get to there.

I know this setup is a bit OCD, but with headcovers on the woods/hybrid, the irons rarely hit one another.

My carry bag is about the same. Top row is putter, driver, 3-wood, and 3-hybrid. Middle row is 4-9 irons. Bottom row is PW, GW, SW, and LW.

I don’t know why I put my 3h next to the 4h, as that doesn’t match the lower part of the bag. Maybe I like the hybrid covers all together?

Once I move out of this cart bag to a stand. I will probably set mine up similar to your picture with driver, putter all together with the wedges by themselves at the bottom.

Basically flip if I’m riding so the driver is toward the front of the cart, but put the putter toward the back.

I only ever use this carry bag so divider limited. But I hate the giant wood covers blocking everything if they're up top where they traditionally are kept.

Gonna try swapping the woods to the side slot and moving the putter up with the driver.

If you ride on a cart it makes sense to have your woods in the back, or at the 'bottom' of the back when carrying it. But when walking with a bag, it makes sense to have the woods at the front or the 'top' of the bag.

So I guess it depends how you play.

I walk in the summer, and ride a cart in the 'winter' - so I have mine setup in the traditional method with woods at the front/top and I just deal with it when riding and caddy corner my bag so I can access everything.
