Currently gaming Adams XTD 14.5* and it’s just too low. Looking at something closer to 16-17* and Changing 18* FW to 19* hybrid. Anyone still hitting 14-15* for their lowest loft FW?

What’s your head-shaft combo?

Ping G 14.5. I hit it well. Very well. Stock stiff shaft. Kuro kage, I think. It might have more loft than what's labeled.

I just picked up an 18 degree 917f2 5 wood from Titleist. Having a hard time controlling it with a R shaft.

2017 M2 HL at 16.5 is my lowest. Using an old-school uST Elements DK and really liking it. I like the bigger head to mostly use off the tee.

I don't have it anymore but the cobra F8 was 14.5*. It went very high due to that low back cg. It was pretty draw biased though so just wasnt for me.

Thanks, everyone! I improved my swing speed, now mid 90s with driver. But, my new impact conditions have the 14.5 barely getting off the ground! I tried replacing my original XTD Ti (stiff flex) with a regular flex, and it still wouldn't get off the ground. Too bad because I love those old Adams! I tried a Ping G400 SFT 16.5 degree and absolutely despised it. I love my G400 Max driver but couldn't hit the SFT FW to save my life!

I'm kind of partial toward Tour Edge for FWs. @LeoLeo99 I have the KK in my irons, and love them. Might have to seek out that shaft in my next FW.

I play the Ping Max driver and love it. But I sold the g400 sft 3 wood. Just could not hit it high enough with the stock ping shaft. I went back to my trusty ping K15 3 wood (16*). I've played it for 10 years and nothing has come close to it for ease of hitting off the grass.

Titleist 915F 3 wood is 15 degrees, but on the D1 setting it’s really 14.25 degrees assuming the 15 is digitally lofted and accurate!

I gamed the same Adams 14.5* for years, had the Fubuki shaft in regular flex. Head weights fell out and had to switch. Now gaming a TEE 16.5* E8 Beta with Aldila Rogue Black shaft, stiff flex. That thing is a cannon. Great off the tee and easy to launch off the fairway. You can find them cheap on eBay.

Ping G30 14.5 with the stock Ping stiff shaft. Use it off the tee, the deck and rough. Works great for me. Occasionally it comes out low if I catch it low on the face but that's my fault. Not sure on SS with it but I think around 95 ? Driver SS is 105

Based on ball speed on a GC2, I would guess my SS with driver is right at 100 mph.

No one had ever asked me until yesterday (honestly, yesterday I hit a par 5 from 240 and my partner asked what my 3W was), but I go driver then 5W, 18.5* G10 with a stiff shaft.

Driver (at my altitude) is 270, I play my 5W to 230, but can hit it 240 if I catch it. Two years ago with my 3W I could hit it 255 but more likely 200 and right. I liked my dispersion with the 5 more and rarely even feel like I am missing anything.

Right now it's 18 degrees. Looking to find a good 4-wood (16.5) to take its place.

Ping G 14.5* is currently in the bag, easy to hit and workable, I also have a 15* G25 that I bring out once in a while, I hit mostly baby draws with this one, it is long!!!, but the G is more accurate for me at this moment, just as long!!!

I bought a new Cobra F9 14.5 3 wd and it’s been a 50/50 club for me out of the fairway/rough. Off the tee, it’s good, but a bit hook-y if I get faster with my hands. I am honestly torn on keeping it in the bag as I only tee off with it on 1-2 holes and only if my driver is a bit left and right that day. I really do love the feel when I swing well and make solid impact, as it goes about 210-215 total. But who are we kidding that is about 20% of the time. I can honestly hit my 2 hybrid a smidge over 200 if I need to, so...

TS2 16.5* is the lowest FW wood I have. Its perfect for what I need it to do and gives me good gapping between my driver and 3 hybrid.
