Master's 2020 Tickets

I'm going to be in GA Master's week for business. What are the odds of scoring a last minute one day ticket for Thursday or Friday?

Check the scalpers on Washington Rd. Chances are good. Prices maybe not so much.

No idea, but looking at some articles from last year you may be optimistic, especially if Tiger is in good form (or shows up, lol) coming in as defending champ. But show up, day of, who knows what you might get for a price. Maybe some folks that did that last year will chime in.

Hang around the parking lot and hope to catch someone leaving.

Show an original or a "really good" copy of the Greg to Tiger letter to the scalpers and you'll get a discount.

Are the prices in person a lot less than stub? If i recall face value is $65 practice and stub lists for about 1k.

Face value for practice round tickets is $75 each and $150 for a single day at the tournament.

On Stub you're paying 2000 for Sunday only. That's quite a lot. But will probably go up in price even more. Have you tried applying for tickets on masters.com?

Don't forget about those monster "fees" you'll pay through StubHub or any other ticket broker. You can definitely save money either going with a scalper or getting lucky to catch someone leaving halfway through the day. If you can wait to go in a couple hours after the gates open you'll be able to get a little better deal from the scalpers. They'll always want to unload inventory so under $1000 for Thursday is definitely doable. It's like buying a car, just need to be firm on how much you want to spend and walk around to different sellers. There's plenty of guys to buy from down there.

I think prices will go down. There's no shortage of badges this year. Many badge owners, that typically sell and rent homes, are still holding them and not able to sell for what they typically get for their home/badges. Id wait it out.

With that being said, even if you buy from Stubhub and the badge is good, doesnt mean ANGC will let you through if they randomly select you at entrance. You better know the original name of the badge owner so it checks out. If they randomly select you and you dont know, theyll take the badge and escort you out.

I thought they were cracking down on people scalping tickets. Wasn't there a couple or family that was arrested for using fake emails to buy tickets? I this highly digital age I don't think I'd take a chance on buying from some one on the street.

As has been said already, depending on what you have for timing, you may be able to get a decent deal if you go a little later in the day, though I wouldn't count on it being a huge savings. You will have to ask yourself what it is going to be worth to get inside and hold very, very firm on that knowing that you may not be getting through the gate if you can't find a price you like. If you are going to be in town already for the week and have time in the afternoon, waiting for people who are leaving a little early may get you inside more easily and more affordably, but is also less than guaranteed. Where do you get this information from? Are you a badge holder? I have been to the Masters many times and have never seen anyone randomly selected for the interrogation you describe.

There's a 3rd party security team right beyond the gate now where your badge is scanned. They dont make a scene when it happens. They quietly just grab the person, pull them to the side and ask a few questions about the badge. You better know the answers. They'll also play dumb on the course and ask random people stupid questions/small talk about the badges(ex. what did you pay? where did you get it?, etc......).

I just had a good friend give me two passes to Wednesday's practice round. The badges say Berckman on the top of them. Does that mean that I will also have access to Berckman's? I think that's a pretty high end sports place just outside the South gate.

The lottery is very easy to request tickets for. I've been applying for practice rounds since 1995 and the tournament proper since 2012, when both were available to do. This is the first year I have actually been selected. A buddy of mine took me in 2015 after he traded

I am not looking to sell. All tickets are accounted for. Best of luck.

I personally think it would be easier to win the mid am and get invited to play than get picked for the lottery. So yes. Extremely low. But that’s just me.

How does the lottery work for Masters tickets?

Augusta and St Andrews are the only bucket list destinations any one should concern themselves with. Want to check out this hollowed ground sooner than later ??️‍♂️

As for procedurally -- it really isn't a lottery, it's a "selection" process and they aren't telling. ;-)
