Mint 2020 Cobra Speedzone Drivers on Ebay

Has anyone noticed all the Mint 9++ Cobra SZ Drivers on Ebay being sold by seller quickshipgolf? Quite high volume, left and right hand, Speedzone and Speedzone Xtreme. Auctions selling for $200-$300.

Cobra just released these drivers on January 17th. I wonder where these are coming from? Listed as preowned, but that's hard to believe. Could they be some kind of factory blems? Maybe some minor irregularities that make them unsuitable to sell as new? Interesting.

Ideas?

Maybe just calling them pre owned so when they sell them way under MSRP the manufacturer can't freeze their account, assuming they are an authorized retailer.

I emailed the seller and he says they are factory demos.

A lot of the clubs I've bought from them over the years have been demos, I would imagine these are as well.

Now I must go search for these sub $300 speedzones!

aren't the demos under powered? or is it the samples they send out before release?

I have never heard of this, nor would I expect a club meant to be demo'ed for the purpose of selling the actual club to be under powered. If anything I would assume they could be a bit juiced/have some extra pop to give that wow factor. But even then, I think they are exactly the same as the retail release.

Probably all the demo clubs from the PGA show, just my guess. Either way I’ve bought a lot from this seller over the years, always better than expected and a fraction of new prices.

Have gotten a few drivers listed as used that still had the plastic on the head.

i completely understand your shock reaction, i was watching a few youtube videos when Cobra sent the SZ samples out to Mike Newton and others prior to main release and if not one, two of the testers said that.. I know ..i know. but it was the samples sent out.. not demos. For that i stand corrected

They get factory demos as well as factory blemishes. (Face too open or closed, loft off listed spec etc). Bought multiple items from them over the years. If you're not worried about exact specs there are great deals to be had.

I bought my F9 from them last year for $275 at this time. It clearly was never hit before, but it had a very small blemish on the carbon fiber top (basically looked like a rash, of like 6 mm. The driver was my biggest addition last year.
