Is This a Different ProV1?

Found these today and wondered if it was a different kind of ProV1, or someone's affectation.

That’s a marking for balls that come from tour events. Not sure if they are the range balls from the event or balls fromm players themselves. If you found it more than likely someone bought them off lostgolfballs or similar site

Are they the same as the standard retail prov1s? Just will the tour mark to designate it as a practice ball at an event?

I am curious about that too.

They could be it they may not be depending on if they were for a specific player. 85% of titleist staff plays the retail ball

It’s a range ball

the same as a regular proV1

we use them on our range here for the pro LPGA and PGA members (regular member balls are chrome soft X)

I can take a pic of a full pyramid of them on the range for you if you want lol

I've read this... and considered ordering, but was skeptical that they are somehow different than the ProV1s at retail... hence the questioning to see if anyone had inside info.

I had never heard of the ball. At first I thought someone had the word "Tour" put on the ball. :-)

Range ball for Tour events. Regular Titleist Pro V1 (2017) model. ;-) If you happen to find one with TOUR in “Red”!? Then you’ve found a Pro V1x! ;-)

If it were an X-OUT it would have X-OUT printed on the ball. It's simply a standard 2017 Pro V1 with TOUR stamped on it for range use at tour events. No more no less.

A few of the comments say that some of the balls they received said "PRACTICE" instead of "TOUR". I have no idea if they are supposed the be the same (some kind of cosmetic blemish that didn't pass QC).

Practice balls are different than tour. As you mention practice are some for of blemish. As mentioned earlier the tour are ones that come from the practice range at tournaments for the pros

The TOUR on the ball makes it easier for the range crew to separate from random range balls when they pick. I've had that job on occasion.

I found one at the Visit Knoxville Open during the tournament.  I thought I would try it out at a local course and hit a 280 yard drive.  My normal drive is around 240-250. I decided to keep playing it and it seemed to go farther than my usual pro v1s.

Anecdotal. If they have the same side stamp as retail (OPs pic was a 2017 stamp), there is no difference.
