Vegas in May/June

Browsing through the forum and some of the threads seem a bit dated. Just inquiring about the feasibility of two rounds in late May or early June. It's a bachelor party and will have a mix of single handicaps and guys who don't play that much. We are from Phoenix so the heat isn't so much of an issue but pricing may be. Any chance of keeping rounds around $100? Recommendations?

I was just there and played Paiute based on recs here. It was awesome. Would love to go back. I played snow, but played a few holes with members and they said next time try The wolf.

I go every summer for a 4 day tournament and we typically get there a day early and play a round at Angel Park in the Summerlin area. It’s relatively inexpensive and low keyed enough that hackers will have a good time. It also has some interesting holes that the better players will appreciate. If you're from Phx, then the golf in Vegas closely mirrors Phx. The rates drop in the same way. The only thing is that Vegas does something Phx does not, is there are some courses which clearly have visitor rates which are higher. (require zip to book).

What you need to be aware is that, just like Phx, in the late Apr-May timeframe courses are doing spring aerations. So you can get caught in the playing golf on an aerated courses before the final price drops. Or the course is closed.

June on the other hand is super low rates everywhere....nothing is over $100 except Shadow and Cascata. You might even get Cascata for under if you get lucky.
