Srixon 2020

Hello, im wondering if someone knows about a new release from srixon Z785/ Z585 for 2020? when are the going to change models?

Check back in the summer time. Details will probably be out in July/aug like every year with Cleveland and Srixon

FWIW, the local shop doesn't display Srixons anymore. The guy told me they didn't sell well. They somehow had a 785 7 Iron for me to demo, but I had to ask specifically for it. They didn't even have them on the wall for demo. They did have tons of what seemed like every other brand though.

Unfortunately I think that’s the case just about everywhere. If it weren’t for this site I probably would have never considered them. As it turned out, they are the best irons I have ever hit.

It's a shame you dont see them on shelves more. I've had my 45's in the bag for years. Some people just dont go with anything unless it says Callaway, Titleist or Taylormade!

Our local stocks them but when I've talked to most of the sales guys they all but write them off. IMO they are the best irons available. I did not love the 65 series for some reason I got fliers with them. The 45 and 85 as well as the ZF play beautifully.

The reason for 'writing them off' is the 4+ week delivery for custom/stock clubs!? Last year we waited 8 weeks for a stock wedge!?!?

We have a few shops that carry them. As mentioned they are not a well recognized brand in the states still which after ~6 years of being offered here. I’ve seen guys who had no idea about them hit them and order on the spot.

It’s usually do to something holding up delivery of parts into the west coast ports. Shipping yard strikes have been a big issue for them over the last couple years

Have the 85's and just found a brand new set of 45's. These are some of the softest irons I've ever played.

People are really missing out if they don't give Srixon a try.

I just ordered some custom z forged irons with custom shafts and grips Tuesday and they are being delivered today. Amazed at the turn around time.

I have seen in www.srixon.com the option to buy the set with custom shafts, loft, grips everything with no adittional cost, its amazing. You can choose between so many shafts, so many grips.

The only thing is where i live there is no place to try them, i would like to make a nice and complete fitting with those clubs, im reading a lot about them and im surprised how good they are.

Im using right now titleist ap2 712 with dynamic gold s300 (130gr) and a friend talked to me about the srixon and im reading about them.

I never wait that long. Takes about a week to get custom for me in Illinois.

Where'd you find a new set of 45's? I've looked for quite a while and have given up....

That is ridiculous... where on earth are they coming from?

Plenty acceptable IMO. Thinking of maybe selling my Z-585 and going to a thinner sole design. Whether Srixon or not.

Sorry no I meant @Golf64 we're in Ontario and that is a long wait. Have considered ordering a combo set but a 4 week wait is not in the cards given the amount I play.

The amount of play has picked up greatly on tour. There are tons of Srixon guys now. I play them and have loved them since first swing.

The normal turnaround time is the same as every other brand and just like when there’s a supply chain issue for those brands they get backorders the same applies to Srixon. Srixon parts are made overseas and assembled in California. If the dock workers are on strike like they have been in recent years it could delay parts coming in and inventory in Cali. If there’s metal issues like there have been overseas it affects inventory.

If you order thru an account or ask the account what the current delivery time is they should know if there’s any backorders

Global Golf. Just gotta keep your eyes open and keep checking around. Placed a bid on ebay for them and they arrived 3-pw with grips still in plastic.

Their head office is in Montreal, but they are made in Cali.

It took me just over 2 week to get my irons built and delivered to Canada. 4+ weeks was probably a one time thing, even then they are well worth it.

After much back and forth finally got a set of 785 putting them to the test later today and tomorrow!
