New Golf shoes 2020!?

Any advice from you guys? I’ve been loyal to FootJoy for a few good reasons: MyJoys for personalisation ability, the option of using individual sizing for left and right shoe, fitting for both length and width. :-)

What other brand offer the same amount of versatility? And is it needed?

What are your thoughts?

Same with the FJ. I want to give the Tour X a try and have heard they are very comfortable and stable shoe.

They feel kind of "pointy" like the UA Speith shoes. They fit like a dress oxford or something IMO... almost like there's a little bit of room near the tip that's just empty. I've tried to love FJ for so long but that feeling of the pointy toe area bugs me a bit. They do feel very stable though and looks awesome. As far as I know... no other shoes are that customizable.

Nike just seems to fit my foot the best. Tour Premiere and Lunar Controls are like slippers.

I know a few Tour Pro’s using the G/Fore’s. From what I’ve heard from them they’re happy. But I don’t know how they last? They pick up a new pair whenever they feel for it. I need mines to last 2 seasons if I have a couple of shoes to change between!? :-)

I have a pair of Gallivanters and pry have 30+walking rounds and I love them! The sole is kind of wide like the old Classics making them super stable but they are very light weight. I would say they run a touch narrow though. The outsoles have held up very well. They take polish nicely. I’ve worn them in very wet conditions and never slipped or got wet. My only knock on them is those nubby soles pick up everything. So if there is a course with tons of leaves on the ground wear something else as you will be picking leaves of your feet all day. In Adidas, dress shoes and everything else I wear 11’s but Nike and gfore I need 11.5’s. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all suggestions and all the feedback. Now I have at least a couple of other options to consider and try out along with the new FJ releases for 2020! :-)

I’ve worn FJ for years, but this year I’m branching out and trying something different. Picked up a pair of G/Fore Gallivanters and Puma Ignite NXT. Both are really comfortable and we’ll see if they hold up throughout the season.

Got a pair of the Tour X as a tee gift at a member guest. I have been an Ecco guy for five years due to the comfort of Eccos. I stopped wearing Footjoy because they just weren't comfortable. The Tour X is as comfortable a golf shoe as I have ever worn. Really impressed with the Tour X. And the spikes they use don't tear up greens like others.

I am very excited to get a pair of the Nike Infinity Tour shoes (the Brooks Koepka shoes). To me they look so comfortable and if they feel like other Nike shoes, they will be fantastic! Plus, I am pretty sure if you wear them, you automatically can swing like Brooks so that's intriguing, right? Lol

Yes, the G/Fore Gallivanters run narrow, which for me is perfect. I am starting season three with my same pair and they're going strong. Best spikeless shoe for grip I've ever had, only Nike LCV and Pro SL in the conversation for me. I'd recommend highly giving them a shot. Their stable and the footbed is something special. I'm curious on the new Pro SL. They look a bit narrow and squared off (almost "boxy" like a car). I worry they won't be as comfortable as versions 1 and 2. Since Gallivanter and original Pro SL are my current rotation, I'll either have to give a new pair a shot or find an old version (which is tough in 10.5 narrow).
