New Bridgestone 2009 Ball lineup! E7+ B-330-RX

First look at the new Birdgestone Tour and E Series lines
Just thought i'd offer up a glance at the new Bridgestone Tour balls and the line up for 2009. Bridgestone is really making a serious push with the ball fitting and offering up more solutions for more players. Most will be interested in the new Tour balls, the B-330 line.

Bridgestone will be offering new 4 piece B330 & B330-S and is introducing a new Ball the B330-RX. I am attaching scans and pics below. The RX will be a big seller I think, it brings the tour ball performance to those who don't generate as much swing speed and therefore don't compress the core as well in the B330 & B330-S, which are fantastic performers if you generate above ~105 MPH. Now that kind of performance will be available to those who's swing speed is slower, see the scan for details. For those who generate more average kinds of swing speeds, you will have a ball that delivers not just the distance off the tee but the greenside spin and control that the tour grade balls are known for.

In addition this years new reformulated E series lineup, the E+ series (E5+ & E6+) will be joined by the new E7+. Giving the more moderate price point $20-$25/dz some greater fitting options. Where the E6+ is a spin reducing ball (decreasing hooks & slices), and the E5+ is a softer compression and Higher flying ball, the E7+ will be the opposite of the E5+,at least with regard to flight trajectory, giving those who hit it too high a lower flight ball. Once again please see the scans attached.

Looks like a promising lineup for Bridgestone's ball lines in 2009. :swoon2: Also to note there is a new ball replacing the Precept IQ distance, will be sold under the bridgestone name at the big box retailers. Green box, called the Treosoft. It features the Bridgestone seamless design, and patented dimple design and core technologies. It's a more value oriented ball for soft feel & distance for moderate swing speeds.

I've been waiting for someone to produce a tour caliber ball for non-tour swing speeds! The RX sounds very nice indeed!

Does anyone have experience with the RX's supposed counterpart, the Tourstage X-01 S3?

I do. It actually plays like the Precept Lady SIII pink ball. It is urethane, it feels soft, but it doesn't spin as much as the other B330 balls for the greenside and partial shots. But it still has urethane-type spin at the lower end of the spectrum. So it's still spinny compared to a non-urethane 3-piece performance ball (ex. Gamer, PX3, Nxt Tour)

Fantastic looking line up!

Thanks for the scoop and info.

I have been using the first two versions of the Tour B-330.

In the 2009 line up I could see possible switching to the 330-S and trying the RX in colder weather.

I'm just amazed after I attended a Bridgestone Ball Fitting session that with my swingspeed (124), they said the B330S was the best fit. They said it actually spins less off the driver at high swing speeds. Has anyone else had this experience?

I haven't had that experience as I don't generate that kind of speed.. I have however heard that comment from them before, and they say that it's no joke, there is a "gap or range" where the B330 works best and both above and below that range the B330-S actually works out better... Beats me how it works that way but it does.

I've read before that once you get over 115 - the 330-S typically spins less than the 330.

Which is good if your in that SS range - less driver spin, more greenside spin.

my friend works for bridgestone & she gave me a sleeve of the RX. It is way softer than the B330s. It really is made for someone who really can't compress a "tour" ball but it plays just like one. It also seemed that it went farther than the B330s. I really think that the RX is going to be a big seller when it comes out.

Farther than the B330s? Now that's impressive.

Does anyone know if the 330 RX will come with a $39.99 price tag or will it try to compete in the new $30 range a la NXT TOUR or HX Hot Bite? The more I read about this ball (low compression with Urethane cover) the more it sounds like Bridgestone is putting the 330 urethane cover on an E6+

At $30 Bridgestone will really have a hit in it's hands!....I hope so.
