New Bridgestone 2009 Ball lineup! E7+ B-330-RX

Is the cover for the e-7+ urethane like the e-5+ or surlyn like the e-6+?

Can't wait to give them a whirl.

While this seems something eagerly anticipated, these balls have been out in Japan for a while.

B330 = Tourstage X-01 R4

B330-S = Tourstage X-01 G4

B330-RX = Tourstage X-01 S3

However, the e-series balls don't have Japanese counterparts.

The rx sounds really nice.

I've been waiting for someone to produce a tour caliber ball for non-tour swing speeds! The RX sounds very nice indeed!

I do. It actually plays like the Precept Lady SIII pink ball. It is urethane, it feels soft, but it doesn't spin as much as the other B330 balls for the greenside and partial shots. But it still has urethane-type spin at the lower end of the spectrum. So it's still spinny compared to a non-urethane 3-piece performance ball (ex. Gamer, PX3, Nxt Tour)

I think it's the same as the E6+, but I'm not 100% Certain on that.

cool stuff but i think that i'll stic with the B330-s... The B330 is a nice ball too but just not the feel i like B330-s is a perfect fit for me...

i'll try a sleeve of the rx, but i'm certain i'll stick to the B330-S. i love the spin around the greens.

I have been using the first two versions of the Tour B-330.

In the 2009 line up I could see possible switching to the 330-S and trying the RX in colder weather.

I saw a green Bridgestone box at a Wallyworld yesterday. I think it may have been called the Treo? I wonder if that's the IQ replacement?

Yes that is the IQ replacement... Treo ( might have had something after that as well.. i.e. "soft"? or something like that..)

Going Forward Precept will be the ladies brand, Bridgestone the mens.

When Does the RX hit stores?

will be at least a bit yet. I have literally the one you see in the pic. Reps should stat seeing some samples for distribution in the next few weeks from what I hear. Feedback from the guys who have tried it and are in that swing speed range is that is outstanding. I haven't even got to try mine yet.

I haven't had that experience as I don't generate that kind of speed.. I have however heard that comment from them before, and they say that it's no joke, there is a "gap or range" where the B330 works best and both above and below that range the B330-S actually works out better... Beats me how it works that way but it does.

Any idea on when these will be released.........

I've read before that once you get over 115 - the 330-S typically spins less than the 330.

Which is good if your in that SS range - less driver spin, more greenside spin.

Damn bridgestone.....just when i thought I finally found my ball. Definetly want to try the RX.

My SS is around 103 and i have played the B330S for a while now. Drives really well, long, and has all the right characteristics around the green.

I wonder how these compare to the existing lineup. Would you think the new RX is more like today's very nice B-330s (i.e., both are 3-piece balls)?

my friend works for bridgestone & she gave me a sleeve of the RX. It is way softer than the B330s. It really is made for someone who really can't compress a "tour" ball but it plays just like one. It also seemed that it went farther than the B330s. I really think that the RX is going to be a big seller when it comes out.

Thanks for this. The B330 RX sounds like my kind of ball. Too bad I have to wait a year! Good looking additions to the line up though.

Oh I think you will get a chance yet this year to try them, I expect that the sept 15 date mentioned will be pretty close, although availability may be a bit touchy right at the get go.

Farther than the B330s? Now that's impressive.

Does anyone know if the 330 RX will come with a $39.99 price tag or will it try to compete in the new $30 range a la NXT TOUR or HX Hot Bite? The more I read about this ball (low compression with Urethane cover) the more it sounds like Bridgestone is putting the 330 urethane cover on an E6+

At $30 Bridgestone will really have a hit in it's hands!....I hope so.
