2016 M2 Driver Tour AD DI Combo

Rican golfer

Yes, thats a good shaft, but if you already have a shaft with similar characteristics you wont see a noticable difference just because you buy a new shaft. You may get a different feel though. The only way to find out is to get fit. What shaft are you using in the head now? I game the M2 2016 and its a great driver.

If you love that driver why buy a new one? I use that shaft in my M2 as well. Ive tried the ADDI-shaft and prefer this Diamana over it. Tiger said that the M2 2016 was the best driver he ever tried, and he actually gamed if for 2 seasons although TM wants him to change to the new model every year. So hold on to it!

I had a 16 M2 that I played for 2 years. I had been playing it with a Rogue and frankly it was one of the best drivers I've ever owned. For some reason I decided to buy an AD DI. I recall thinking it might be a good combo and possibly gain a few yards. Obviously everyone has different experiences so I'm not saying it's a bad combo. But it was for me. The M2 was probably the most accurate driver I've ever owned. When I took the Rogue out and put the AD DI in , it was like a different driver and not in a good way. My dispersion wasn't quite as tight and I was actually hitting it a little shorter.

Either the AD DI and that head don't love each other or it's just a terrible shaft for me. I've still got it, with TM tip on it if you'd rather buy a used one than a new one. You can PM me if you're interested.

Nice combo but the performance is more in the head than the shaft. The head is great but just get a shaft that feels good to you and gives you a tight dispersion. A $500 shaft can do the job, but so can a $50 one.

"I have yet to see a $100 to $300 shaft that could not be duplicated for weight, flex, bend profile, balance point and torque and sold at a normal profit in the industry for an aftermarket price of $25 to $50."

I agree with the guys here, M2 is a beast, I've never had the AD DI driver shaft, I do have the hybrid (105x) and it is amazing...I do own three different shafts for my driver, Rogue Silver 125 MSI X, Ping Tour 65 X and the stock shaft from the G LST on X flex as well...again, I have to agree with a fitting, you will know for sure which will work best for you, I was fitted by a Ping rep and the Tour shaft is the one that gets better results, may not feel the best (Rogue does) but I cannot argue with the performance, good luck!!!!

BTW I am from PR as well, I've been part of this forum/community for a while and let me tell you these guys are amazing, had the opportunity to be part of the Driver Testing in 2016, they provided first class treatment, take care.

Funny thing.....I love the Ad DI shaft on my driver (6S) and 3 wood (7S). Driver SS 100-105. Tried the IZ version but didnt like it. Supposed to be exactly the same..........psychological maybe.

If its about the money, go with stock. Im sure you can find something similar. If not, the AD DI is the best for me in terms of dispersion. I also game the Tensei ck pro orange shaft. Very different shaft but also expensive.

One of my favorite shafts was the Diamana.

get fitted, get fitted, get fitted......Finding the right shaft is a game changer for sure!

I currently game the 16 M2 with a tour AD DI 6x. Been in my bag for 4 years and every year i try to replace it but seen very little improvement. I am thinking of trying a mavrik with the iz 6x though
