Multi level domed driving range - hitting from upper level is weird!

Playing virtual golf with buddies over Michigan winter to keep swing in shape. Very busy Tuesday night, had to go upstairs. Boy, does it feel weird. Took my playing partner and I a couple of holes to get over the "I going to fall off" feeling in the through swing. I don't know how people play the 3-4-5+ tiered ranges you see overseas.

I hit on a 2 level ranges all the time. I love going to the top to be out in the sunshine. Topgolf is also a family favorite and they have 3 or 4 levels. It's really just a golf shot. The ball doesnt go that much further. And you arent going to fall off through the swing unless you routinely fall on the flat ground when swinging on the first level.

Dome by me has two levels and if the wait isn’t too long I’ll wait for the bottom floor. When hitting wedges from above they don’t travel very far before it hits the roof. At least downstairs it’ll go about 70 yds.

Fear of heights. Hard for me to even go to the 2nd level. Impossible to hit a decent golf shot from there. Fire and fall back is the result. Even with the safety net in place. Yet I have no problem with elevated tees out in the real world and I've hit from some real doozies in the mountains.

I know it is me and yes I have a phobia on edges. Not heights per se, just getting close to an edge. Maybe if the net projected out further or if the mat was further back the bay (mat is secured, so can't pull it back and there isn't a lot of space behind the yellow line). We joked with the guy running the desk, we paid our penance for the year, back to ground floor for us.
