Taylormade SIM Driver Real or Fake?

I need some expert eyes. I bought a TM SIM driver off ebay about a week prior to the commercial release. I hit it once at the range and the distance was similar to my M5, but the dispersion was a little off. I'm not extremely accurate with my driver to begin with, but this one seemed a bit exaggerated. I've included pics, including the serial number. It doesn't look like TM verifies serial numbers, otherwise I would have started there. I got a pretty good deal on it, so I was a little suspect to start. Hopefully it was operator error only.

*Note- I did not hit this club with the plastic on it. I am only showing the plastic in the pics so everyone could see how it was originally wrapped.

Looks legit to me, would be difficult to pull off all the stickers and stuff in a counterfeit manner that soon I think.

you need to take it to a golf shop and get some side by side photos of one on the rack. more specifically focus on the font of the serial number, the font on the adjustment ferrule.

A quick search on AliExpress & Wish returns no SIM products for the search of "taylormade sim" & even "taylormade"

I'd guess it would be a little early to see fakes but you never know, they are getting quicker and better with their fakes.

I checked Ali too. That was stop number 1! I think the reason I got it below $400 was because the seller marked it as a SIM Max when it was actually a SIM. It came with the grip not put on the shaft. Between that, the price, and the fact that it didn't come in a factory box, I had a little suspicion. But, since it's eBay, they are pretty good about refunds for counterfeit items.

I feel like I need to ask did you hit it with the plastic still on the head?

Am I following correctly?: You hit it one time at the range with the plastic on it and it didn’t go straight, now you suspect it’s fake?

Would hitting it with the plastic on the head impact the performance? Jk, no I did not hit this club with the plastic on the head.

Looks good to me. Dispersion being off was likely due to being lower spin

Fakes beating the real thing to the market? Fat chance. Plastic effects the ball flight, pull it off, driver is real.

I updated my original post to clarify that I did hit it without the plastic. I actually found another post on here about people having fade/right issues with this club, which matches up with the issue I was noticing.
