Laser rangefinders

In prep for starting competitive golf, I'm thinking about getting into the laser game. I already use a Garmin s40 watch and a GPS app on my phone (primarily just for scores and stats that go back before i had the watch) so I'm mot trying to spend a fortune. I would prob only use it for the tourney rounds.

I am sorta between the Golf Buddy L7 ($130) and the Bushnell v4 ($220). Recommendations?

I picked up a Precision Pro NX7, have found it to meet my needs rather well. They have a rather good rep for customer service, have a presence here on the forums, and by all accounts I've seen, are responsive when contacted directly. They have several models to pick from, to suit your preferences.

Both will work well, also as regularly posted on these forums the Precesion pro Models work well too, save your self a $100 bill and grab the LR7 or PP!! Trust me they will both deliver fast accurate yardage.

I have a Bushnell and I bought my middle school son a Golf Buddy lr5. They are both spot on with each other and both easy to use. When mine goes bad, I don't see any reason to pay more for the name brand anymore.

Both go hand in hand. I have both a Bushnell Tour Z6 and a Mevo. I have my yardages down to the exact yardage with each club. If Im out on the course and laser a yardage of say 155 yards then I can make a educated decision of if its uphill/down hill, front/back pin, wind direction and what my miss deviation is based on the yardages and patterns of my 7 iron vs 8 iron. But if you are starting out then get a good laser first.

Don't have one, but used to sell them. Bang for the buck they are really good, but personally like the Stabilizer the best.

I use the Precision Pro NX7. Great rangefinder at a great price. Locks on to the pin and vibrates so you know you have the right number.

First and only rangefinder; Bushnell Tour V4 Shift. Had it 2 years and see no reason to change. Highly recommended.

Precision Pro guy here (NX7). I'd buy again. Does the job at a discount price. Free lifetime battery's.
