Vegas golf virgin

I've been to Vegas a few times and I love it but have never brought my bag or even golfed with a rental there. I stay at the Venetian when I go and was wondering what the best options are considering the following.

Morning or after noon tee is fineplaying 2 times on the weekend, one round each day. want to be close so I wont spend a ton of time in an uber/cabGreen fee around 100-120 or so??

What month are you going? It's hot in the summer in the afternoons in Vegas. Really hot. Twilight starts at about 11 am to 1 pm. Golfnow works well in Vegas on occasion. I've gotten some great deals a couple years ago. Not such great deals last year.

Weekends get busy and 8 am on a weekend is prime time. Book tee times ahead of time. For example, a tee time for 8am might be $250 and a tee time at noon might be $125.

I've carried clubs and rented. Up to you. Both have pros and cons.

Uber is the way to go in Vegas.

If I can get a good deal through golfnow, I'll spend some of the savings on uber.

Bear's Best, Rhode's Ranch, TPC Las Vegas, Desert Pines are all good courses. The courses at Pauite are highly recommended. I played Wolf. But they are way outside of town so you'll be paying more for Uber.

Bali Hai is right there on the strip, so it would fit into your requirement of not having to travel in an Uber for very long. I stayed at the Venetian the last time I was there, and I think the cab ride was about 10-15 minutes to Bali Hai. However, I think the price I paid was about $175 per round IIRC.

The only other course I've played out there was TPC Las Vegas, which was great. But it's about a 30-35 minute ride to get out there.

Reflection Bay is good too. Arroyo at Red Rock is on the less expensive side but will be a little trip. I played all 3 courses at Pauite and they were all awesome!

thanks!! I’ll be going in May and have before so I know it’ll be hot as heck. I might be stuck with Golfnow because I can’t book in advance because I have to work around some card tourney

Well so far I got Vegas National and TPC booked!

Vegas National is garbage. I would cancel that and replace with any of the three Pauite courses (Wolf is by far the best though) or Bear's Best.

coyote springs is the bees knees, nicklaus track that was supposed to be a housing community before the recession, there is actually a course mapped out next door that was suppose to go in, north of vegas a bit but very good track.

I took advantage of the below linked package last time I was there. Pretty reasonable w/ Uber(s).

Cascata is $$...both cost and in awesomeness. I'll be playing again next time I'm on town.

Reading is fundamental - that would be a $60-70 Uber each way at least. And good luck getting an Uber back!

didnt take that into consideration, we rented a vehicle when we were out there, made more sense for us

Agreed on Vegas National. Paiute is far, I would go Bali Hai if you want it close. Bears is about a 20 minute Uber.
