Any news or rumors about the JPX line being updated or cancelled this year? September is my favorite time lately with the new JPX irons coming out.

No rumors know here, but last time they officially released press in late August. I am wondering if they add a hollow body option to the line like they did with the MP-20 HMB. I am probably going to wait on new irons until I see what Mizuno and Srixon do this year.

919 tours were great for me last year I just didn't love the turf interaction so hope they improve on that and could get a touch more forgiveness packed in there. Wonder what sales will be like with Koepka not giving them good free advertising for the tours. Feel like JPX line has kind of peaked already though after his run.

I have had a set of JPX Forged 919's since they came out a couple of years ago and they were one of the better equipment purchases I have ever made. I'm curious as to why Mizuno hasn't shelled out on Koepka and made him the face of this generation, a la TM and Rory. I don't know if he wants to stay free agent, if he's just asking too much, if they can't or aren't willing to keep up with industry standards in pay, etc?

From what I’ve read Koepka’s happy being a FA. I read his endorsement price tag is crazy high. Too high for Mizuno and apparently too high for other OEM’s too.

Just an update to my comment from back in March regarding possibility of a new line coming out late summer. Another golf forum just did an article on the impact of the virus on golf, especially the OEMs and direct to consumer. The article stated that there is a rumor that at least one mid-size OEM is pushing back a major late summer release to January and others may follow.

And that would make sense given that there is a lot of inventory on the shelves sitting right now. Once the pandemic clears then they are going to have to move that product. Likely they do not want to do that with a major release just a few months away. That may erode the pricing even further.

Who knows. But I will likely not wait for Mizuno or Srixon releases this year. I want to support my local club fitter/retailer and there is a lot of great product out there right now.

I still have my JPX 800 HD's which came out some 8 years ago! For me, 12 HC, no other JPX version comes even close in terms precision and forgiveness.

I am going to continue to lobby for a return of the MP32. Yes, that is an MP series. Maybe they could tech it up, as the JPX is the more tech driven line. So, tech it up, and re-release it. WINNER WINNER!!

Owned those back when I was around a 20 cap and they were ok for me. Wished now that I have improved (8-12 cap depending on the day) that I still had these. One of the best looking SGI irons ever.

I would like to see a hollow body JPX offering... I’m also going to wait until Mizuno (and Srixon) show their new offerings before purchasing...

I am in the same Srixon/Mizuno waiting game boat. After i move my MP20s I will be sitting tigh for a bit to wait and see what gets released.

Tour/Forged combo in the JPX, or a blade/7 series in the Srixons. We shall see.

Interesting. Budget Golf is advertising a Mizuno price drop of up to 30%. This includes the JPX line. They are an authorized dealer so Mizuno is probably trying to blow out this line and perhaps preparing for the new clubs?

I know my question doesn’t help topic but I’ve been looking at the JPX line from Mizuno and they look awesome! I’ve personally never hit any mizuno clubs but I know they’re legit. Anyways I like buying older sets of clubs for fun and the search for that “perfect set”... lol. I’ve been looking at the 2013 JPX EZ and the 800’s & 850’s, I’d love to hear some opinions on the older models ...?

Does anyone know how Mizuno typically works when releasing a new iron line? Do they keep the current line (919) available until the new line is available for order, overlap so you could order either or turn off orders for older line early?

I usually roll with replacing my irons ever other release. I have the 919T's now...but I don't even know if I'll purchase a new set even 2 years from now. The combo of the 919T's with the C-Taper Lite's for me in X are next level. Best combo I've ever games. Simply can't see myself getting any new irons anytime soon.

I think you will see customer order for the 919s stop being available in about 2 months.

I've owned the 800 Pros and 900 Forged. I've hit the 825 Pros, 850 Pros, and 919 Forged. My personal favorites are the 825 Pros and 900 F. All are good, but I prefer the look and feel of those two above the others.
