You have to choose where to play your last round. Which do you pick?Augusta National: 62 percentOld Course at St. Andrews: 14 percentCypress Point: 10 percentPebble Beach: 10 percentLoch Lomond: 4 percent

one of those is not like the others ... that's a real curious choice there at 4 % ...

What really sticks out it for those idiots at Golf Digest is a survey where the questions go:

About golf

About golf

About golf

About golf

Sneak one in on tour player wives / girlfriends

About golf

About golf

About golf

About golf

What is wrong with these people? Locker room small talk is one thing, but featuring that sort of question out of the blue is just plain juvenile.

Lehman; 1 British Open, 4 PGA tour wins, 1 Euro Tour win.

Oosthuizen: 1 British Open, 0 PGA Tour wins, 8 Euro Tour wins.

Yes, they fit on the list of BO fluke wins. So, "Welcome to snooze'ville".

Not much different from the PGA flukes you listed like;

Jimmy Walker: 1 PGA, 5 PGA Tour wins

But this one should not be on your list;

David Toms: 1 PGA, 12 PGA Tour wins. David Toms won more non-major PGA Tour events than Westwood, Woosnam, McDowell, Baker-Finch, Clarke, and Kaymer COMBINED.

The most desired course margin surprised me, but not the most desired major victory. I'm very patriotic, so winning the US Open has always been my dream. But the fact remains that if you win The Masters...you're set for life. Too many important and powerful business leaders are members there and it's viewed as too prestigious of an event for a winner and their family to not be set for the rest of their life.

There's a big difference between Michael Campbell or Todd Hamilton and Charles Coody. Most people don't even remember Campbell winning the US Open or Hamilton winning the British Open, but they know that Charles Coody has a green jacket.

Lehman and Oosthuizen don’t have a lot of wins, but they had a lot of high finishes... they’re not “flukes” in the same way Beem and Micheel are. Lehman got to #1. Oosthuizen has finished 2 or T2 in every major and the Players.

The innumerate like to pick on the PGA Championship because it has the most non-name winners, but that is actually an indication of field strength. The PGA invites more guys with a realistic chance of winning.

The PGA, The Open, and TPC have the strongest fields year after year. If a “well known” isn’t playing up to snuff there are a slew of elite players that could step up, because more of them get invited/qualify. That’s why the list of winners for those 3 events may be full of, maybe, head scratcher names. Just my .02.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but Zach Johnson has a jacket and a jug, yes?

“Have a season with only 1 win, but it's a major 95%

A season with 3 wins and no majors 5%”

Assuming these are regular wins (ie not opposite field or team)...

3 wins is rarer and more difficult than a major.

3 wins is significantly more prize money and I suspect better for your pension, although this may be offset by the endorsement deals and other perks that come with a major

3 wins gets you 4 years of exemptions (5 if one of the wins is a WGC or invitational) vs 5 for a major

What about 4 wins? 5?
