Piretti Putter. I’ve got some questions

Hey all! I’m decently new member here and am just getting back into golf. I picked up this Piretti some time ago when I was really playing but shortly before I basically stopped for a few years. I have a few questions.

1. What do you all thinks it worth. I had a guy come up and offer to buy it but had no clue what to ask for it or to hang onto it as I do putt well with it.

2. I know some body at Carbon putters. Who makes a better putter? Or is it all down to preference.

3. I got this off a guy I met through work when I originally obtained it. How can you tell if it’s real or fake? Seems real but I have no idea how to tell anymore.

If I decide to keep it what the best way of getting it refinished? I assume sending it to Piretti but I don’t know if anyone knows of a better place.

First it's spelled Piretti, lets get that cleared up.

Check eBay that will give you the best idea on prices.That's subjective on what a person likes and wants. Carbon does make some nice putters but there have been issues with them delivering the proper end product. No one is faking a Piretti especially a basic Cottonwood 2For refinishing find someone who does it like BOS, Putter Spa, the guys at Carbon I believe have a refinishing side.

It is a stock model from 2011 - 2012...

Milled from carbon steel and finished in Midnight Black PVD...

This was back when his studio was in a small office building in Spring Tx. and most of his sales were online..

It originally sold for less than $300 with an Iomic grip and red head cover....

What"s it worth now ? I would look online, for putters in similar condition ( looks pretty good to me )

I don't think Pirreti is in the refinish business, They currently out source their newer putters to a Calif. company that does some of best bath and sink fixtures in the business.... Continental is a site sponsor and does good work at a reasonable price..

I agree with not refinishing. I vote for keeping it and buying a carbon. Let us know how it goes.

I left it alone but discovered why I miss so many with it. Turns out I need more toe hang. Looking into Carbon putters
