Adidas CodeChaos - Thoughts?

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick question for anyone who has gamed these:

How is the traction with these being spikeless?

I have never owned a spikeless golf shoe, my first thought is slippage and traction issues.

I bought the Code Chaos because I liked the look. I have never liked Adidas stuff at all. I am still not a huge fan of their shirts and shorts because they are huge compared to other brands. However, I have a complex where I need to have the same brands so I have a pair of their shorts and a shirt to try. Now, I have been a Under Armour (several different versions), Nike (TW shows and now React Vapor), and some Puma (shoes Rickie wears and the all leather white spikeless Ignite Pro).

I would have to say that I am currently putting the Code Chaos and Puma spikeless at the top of my rotation for the comfort. I played in wet conditions this past weekend and I did not notice a slip with either of those brands. I have worn the Adidas shoes twice and the comfort with the Boost is legit. I am a big fan. I bought the same size as my Nike's and Under Armour. With Puma, I had to go down a size. I am a 10 in Puma and a 10 1/2 in Nike, UA and Adidas.

I bought the Code Chaos a week ago and have walked 2 rounds in these shoes. The Code Chaos are the most comfortable shoes that I have worn. I wore the shoes in dry conditions and had no problems with traction.

In the past, I have bought Adidas golf shoes one-half size larger than my nominal shoe size. For the Code Chaos, my nominal shoe size was a perfect fit -- no need to buy a half-size larger.

What about the sport version? Are they essentially the same, but not waterproof? I really don't like the color options for the standard version, but the sport version look good to me.

The soles of the Code Chaos are awesome. The colors are just straight ugly. If you took Code Chaos soles and put them on Footjoy Flex XP's you would have a winner.

I agree the code chaos are super comfortable! And I think they look great. Very sporty and great traction. Would recommend.

the sport version are not the same. The regular CC has full length boost. The sport I believe is only in the heel. I agree the colors are better, but lack of full boost is a deal breaker.

My CodeChaos Primeblue shoes are supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Couldn’t be more stoked to get them!

Great feedback! I was curious on sizing as well, good to know they fit true to size. Happy to hear that about the traction, did it feel similar stability/grip wise to a shoe with spikes? Thanks!

I haven't gotten them yet but in dry conditions they should be perfect! People sleep on Adidas Boost cushioning but they will be superior in comfort! I wear Boost in all my shoes (Spikes, Spikeless, Basketball, etc.) and couldn't be happier!

I'd suggest that you try the shoes on before buying. I am done buying shoes on the internet. Yes, you can save 40 percent. But, I've been burned too many times ordering shoes that I thought were the correct size, but didn't fit as I expected.

I did not have any stability or grip issues (vis-a-vis spikes) with the CodeChaos shoes. However, I was playing in dry conditions on a relatively flat golf course.

I may just get these. I've been eyeing these now since they hit the scene and my Footjoy ProSL shoes are NOT comfy IMO. I'm probably going to sell them even though I just got them.

I have noticed as long as you are not swinging out of your shoes, there will be no slippage.

I've got my eye on the Primeblue CodeChaos but that version is not waterproof, is it? I was trying to read up online and I wasn't able to see that it's waterproof. Do you know? THanks!

If you or anyone else could provide some in-hand pics of this, it would be awesome. I love the design, and my only hesitation is how fast that knit upper would get dirty with dust, etc.. I've seen where they say it is waterproof, but still skeptical. Fantastic looking shoe!

It seems like it will be a dry weather shoe for me. Too much white and too much mesh for it to be worn when it’s wet out. That being said, it’s one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve had on. Hopefully it starts warming up around here so I can (hopefully) golf sooner rather than later.

Best shoe ive used no doubt, im a fast 120 mph swinger with quite a bit of foot action and the extra traction area on the forefoot of each shoe honestly feels like spikes. Its the first pair of spikeless that are at least 80% of a spiked pair of shoes, I have full confidence in them.

took em out for some slightly muddy wisconsin March weather as well and I think they worked like a charm, great support walking too. Honestly the first pair of shoes that are close to fitting my dream shoe of a running shoe with extra traction and waterproofing. As long as the durability holds up these are a 10/10 for me. Really liking the Knit as another option as well ?

Thanks for posting! I agree that it looks like a dry weather shoe. I may go with the white/red colorway, just because that looks like it won't hold dirt as much as the blue. Either way, we all know how hard it is to keep that boost foam clean, no matter what color you get.

I have the forgefiber boa golf shoes and they get dirty really fast, from wet dirt and other things. I finally had to scrub them down with reshoevn8r to get the stains out. That's my biggest knock against them, but I've learned that anything with the Adidas boost is a super comfortable shoe.

Love the feel of these but the PrimaBlue is the only color i'd buy. That being said, im 46 and the other colors arent marketed for me :)

Had a chance to try them on the other day, and although they felt pretty nice, I was surprised at how much more I liked the Asics Gel Course Duo’s.

Amazing shoes, love them, and to those who say they are ugly, I think they are sharp. To each is own. Well done Adidas. Bought same size as I am in Adidas and Nike, 11.

I have the Codechaos, the Codechaos Sport and the Primeblue. In my opinion all run just slightly narrower in the toe area than most of last year's adidas golf shoes. For the most part it's only noticeable when I first put them on though and then they're fine.

The Primeblue in particular are amazingly comfortable and I'll probably wear them casually as well. They fit, look and feel just like a quality adidas running shoe.

I wear a 13 throughout the adidas line and these are no exception.

As for keeping them clean I just spray them with Simple Green and then toss 'em in the washing machine and they come out perfect every time. Remove the insole and let them air dry or if I'm in a bit of a hurry I'll place them in front of a fan.

Been doing it this way for years with running shoes, knit golf shoes and even my Tour 360 SL's with zero problems.

Not a big fan of fabric golf shoes. I really prefer leather. I just think leather is easier to keep clean.
