Brandon Mathew Putters

Has anyone tried a Brandon Matthew putter? I found him on Instagram ad like the look of his work. I also like that he's a lefty so he takes care of us on the other side of the ball. Website is www.brandonmatthew.com I am looking at replacing my Scotty and was thinking of going to Artisan but saw his work so now I am curious.

Some of his putters look good!!! Very curious what they feel like!

I ordered one and will report back when I get it. The ordering process was really easy and he got back to me within a day. I went with a simple design like Hideki Matsuyamas but if this goes well, the next one will be ridiculous.

Curious which one and the specs.

I went with a No2, standard loft and lie, 34”, 345g, with a black shaft and grip, and a more softened look on the lines.

I didn’t want to get too crazy with it the first go even though his work looks good, but the next putter I have done will be crazy.

Awesome stamp, I love the stamps like this since everyone wants "tour issue" putters.

Every putter maker I've asked said no to "F tour only". So I opted for not made for the tour lol

I kinda see why, somehow "tour only" means the price is 2-3x more. I know there is more to it but a lot of companies I don't think stock options and tour are far off.

I was thinking of possibly doing a putter with "Hack use only", "Just add Beer" or "For Beer League Only". But don't want to pay a crazy amount just for stamps.

I was meaning it as "F* $% Tour Only" lol I just coudn't write that out here.

Brandons putters are pretty reasonable, All my stuff came out to $520 with a matte black shaft included. I'll have pics of the final product at some point today is what he said.

That No 3 design he has really has my interest.

He shipped it out saturday so hopefully I’ll have it tomorrow. I ordered on 03/24 so a bit longer than the estimated two week time quote. he didn’t have the black shaft either so price was $500 even, including shipping.

The putter rolls the ball exceptionally well. The milling isn’t deep but it’s downy soft when you stroke it. It came with a lamkin Deep Etch grip, I’m not fond of those grips so I changed it out and it rolls even better for me now.

Now, there were some cleanliness issues with the putter like adhesive/goop all over the shaft, tape and adhesive sticking out from the grip, a bleed issue from one of the dots on the sole, but I sent a message to Brandon and he was more than accommodating for the discrepancies that I had with the putter and has good customer service.

His communication is lacking and could definitely be better, but the putter makes up for it overall. I think it’s priced well, especially if you have no issues with your putter. I just seem to have gotten the one out of the bunch that slipped through the cracks, but once again he was apologetic and offered to pay for shipping to get it back to him, and expedite it back to me.

All things considered, I know if I ordered another putter from him it would be a different experience, a better experience.

Looks good man!!! The welds look really nice!! Those little details are everything imo and can't believe it has paint and adhesive issues lol Is it stainless?

It is SS. Luckily spirits and goo gone got rid of the adhesive and stuff on the shaft, even though I shouldn’t have had to do it.

He said he has someone else do the shaft and grip installation with them usually doing a perfect job, and he’s using a new spray so that probably caused the stain on the sole while it was in transit.

when he sent me original pics I didn’t see anything on the sole so it very well could have happened in transit but I don’t know. It would make sense since the sole was clean in the pic he sent ??‍♀️.

It feels fantastic with good feedback if you miss the sweet spot. When you pure it, it feels And sounds like you didn’t even hit it. It does have a click when you miss it.

Luckily Arkansas never shut down for golf so I’ve been playing this whole time. That and I have a cheap 9’ mat that putt every day on and make 25 putts from 2, 4, 6, 8ft.

It’s been put to work since the day I got it. No complaints

I do want a custom Olson though, I had a retro that was Fantastic but it wasn’t “mine” since I bought it used and I’m weird when it comes to my putters. My next purchase will be Olson Retro or a Lamb Camden.

I just ordered the Raw and Rusty. As said, easy transaction. He’s going to be a big name in putters before too long, esp in lefty market. Should be here Friday. Playing Pinehurst this weekend.

Is that the flow neck he posted on IG the other day with all those others for sale?

Really good looking stuff and it's nice to see that his prices are in the reasonable range and he didn't just race straight to the $1500+ range that Olson, Cody James, and Tyson Lamb have all gone to. I still don't understand who's paying those prices.

What's with all the welded necks? Is that just something he does by request, or is that his standard build so he can mill heads and necks separately?
