In the Bay Area everyone was hoping it would...most every course closed up shop.

Getting emails in now... everyone closing.

Looks like you can still make tee times at the San Diego municipal network courses, e.g., Torrey Pines, Balboa, etc.

I have a tee time at Balbloa tomorrow and Torrey on Tuesday. Parks and Rec announced they were closed, so it will be interesting to call around tomorrow to see what the latest is. There is nothing on the Residents portal saying they are closed, but the city is not the most up-to-date entity, lol.

Edit: Just got an email from Arrowood that they are closed until further notice.

Yep...just got an email about it...welp, I guess my tee time tomorrow at Torrey is canceled...

If four buddies take the one hour fifteen minute drive down from San Jose to Poppy I am guessing all the rules about conduct on the golf course that they Implemented are pretty much useless. The whole point of the statewide lockdown is to discourage social interaction. And slow the spread of the virus. So I don’t agree with golf courses being open. And don’t get me wrong, I’m probably as big a golf nut as anyone on this site. I’ve probably played 40 rounds this year until the shelter in place order on Tuesday. In a month or so, though, I might be changing my tune .

Got our round in at Balboa, but they told us walking goff 18 they were closing until further notice.

Note: Walked in, read off my resident # to cashier. Terminal was on desk, and told to swipe. Then a box of "clean" pens to use to sign. Put pen in "dirty" box, which were cleaned with Clorox wipes. Put signed receipt in box on desk.

Cups were 1" above ground.

The system works (worked) perfect. Just eliminate carts except for handicapped players. Walking good to go.

I was pretty sad when I got the notice that San Diego was closing all their municipal courses. I think the only games in town are Oceanside, the JC network, and Sycuan (?) out in East County...?

Word on the street is Eastlake... Enagic is still sending out tee times. We'll see how that holds up.

It looks like most of the San Luis Obispo County courses will be open. Raised cups. Single rider carts. Credit card only. Golf shops, restaurants closed.

Looks like the JC Golf network has closed most of their courses...only Cathedral Canyon in the desert and the Welk Resort in Escondido are open...

My home course sent an email out yesterday, that tee times were available for Annuals form 10:00 to 4:00. With several stipulations. Twosomes only, only one player in the pro shop at a time. raised cups, no rakes, flagsticks,ballwashers, one open bathroom. And probably the deal breaker for many, no carts. Because the course is located in a gated community, there are a couple really long walks from green tee. And a couple brutal elevation changes. I used to walk it all the time, when I was thriftier and younger. I’m guessing the reason the offer was for annuals only, is because we’re all prepaid. So no transactions.I called the pro shop yesterday regarding a different matter, but there was no answer. So I guess there weren’t many takers.

Out of curiosity, I clicked on milmatic’s link for Poppy Hills tee times. It’s no longer active. Poppy Hills probably decided to abide by the stay at home order, since it’s a state mandate, and not a county order.
