SuperStroke WristLock???

Saw Zac Blair has a new Wrist lock SuperStroke on his bettinardi and was looking for some info on it and where I can pick one up to try out?

It shows out of stock on the SS website but the info I’ve found looks really interesting

I think it is a grip developed by Phil Kenyon who is an ambassador for Superstroke. I think it will come out later this year.

I too saw it on ZB's insta story. Buddy of his had it on an evnroll and it looked very comfortable and smooth. So smooth that I purchased an evnroll tour stroke and will be waiting anxiously for this grip to come out. I have tried the stock armlock putters and it puts me in an uncomfortable position. lookin forward to the duo of the low lofted putter and this wristlocking grip -guarantee to cure my terrible putting........*wishful thinking*

I’m eagerly waiting for this to come out. I meesaged Super stroke on Instagram a few weeks ago and never got a response

I recently acquired an ER1TS (the milled version of the Tour Stroke) and in my opinion it is the most stable blade putter I've ever tried. I tried armlocking briefly last year, but could never get comfortable with it. The ER1TS provides exceptional face stability with a more conventional feel compared to armlock which leads to easier distance control for me.

For these SS grips, is the idea that you put these on your standard putter to lock up your left wrist? Or is it advised to treat this like an arm lock putter (adding loft and length)? This is my current turmoil that's consuming my free time while working from home!

Just got a response from Superstroke and they will be released late april. A couple more weeks...quarantined and impatient- not a good mix

I’ also interested if you need to increase the loft of the putter, or if the wrist lock spaces the shaft enough off your wrist to be okay with standard loft. Kind of like the old arm lock converter grips

Kpt37, I rec'd an email from SS Support this morning in response to my question as to if the wrist lock will require adding length and loft and was advise these grips ARE designed to fit "as is" and as mentioned prior in this thread, SS is hoping to release at the end of April but with COVID they are not able to give a true release date.

I just got an update from Superstroke that the wrist lock is launching Friday May 1st

I just ordered one through the ss website. It’s says they’re in stock and allowed me order a black and white one.

I ordered one as well, we will see when it actually ships.

Is this grip designed for golfers who use the claw putting style?

I found a video online and From my understanding, the bulge of the grip comes out on the left side at the top and touches the inside of your wrist. Left hand wrist foot a right handed player. I essentially set up in an armlock stance with a standard putter. I believe this is basically that.

I am curious how much loft needs to be added to get the grip next to your wrist. In the video it looks like no added loft is needed but he is using a putter with 4" of offset so the putter sits in the middle of his stance. If I had to guess you would need at least 5-6 degrees of loft on the putter, maybe even 7.

I emailed ss and they said it is designed to use with a putter with standard specs. No added loft or a different lie angle or offset. But I believe if you have a slight forward puts you’d be fine. It def looks like he has a pronounced board press in the video.

Sure enough the page is gone. Wonder if they will honor our orders or if we have to reorder Friday?

Toyed around with something propped between my grip and left wrist just now and it's rather phenomenal how locked in the club becomes. There's no face rotation. Just rock the shoulders. I will definitely find a way to test this as soon as I can. Things get labeled "game changer" too often, but this could be that for a lot of folks who get a bit wristy in the stroke. Possibly the cure for the yips...?

Two questions:

It looks like the total putter length is increased. Instead of a normal grip that ends at the base of the palm, the idea with this grip is to extend into your wrist. Is there essentially a 2+ inch plug on the end of the grip? A 35" putter becomes 37"?I have been a left-hand low putter for decades. Tried the claw grip many times. Stroke always feels nice but i have always struggled with inconsistency. This looks like it could be promising. Any thought with a left-hand low application?

You would need to add an extension and make it longer or install a longer shaft. Probably 1 to 2 inches more.

So the core in the grip goes all the way up? I was hoping from the bottom of the grip to where the core stops would effectively be the same as other ss grips and the "bulge" part is just a solid extension. If the shaft goes all the way up to the bulge part then people will have to extend putter shafts to put the grip on. This is one of the key questions I have.

This grip is just like any normal Superstroke grip you’ll have to extend the putter. The shaft goes all the way to the top of the grip.

How long are these?

Not sure why they didn’t ban this type of anchoring as well. Just seems like cheating the natural ability to putt imo. I actually think this is going to be a very popular grip and improve a lot of strokes. I get why people are going to use it, but I hate that they will be allowed to at the same time.
