Washington State - Courses that are open?

Does anyone know of any courses in the state that are open?

As of tonight Royal Oaks Vancouver WA, my home club, is closing. Minimum two weeks. Pretty bummed.

There shouldn’t be any. Only critical infrastructure/ essential businesses, as described in the State “hunker down” order, should be open, and golf courses didn’t make the list.

I thought that golf courses were specifically listed in the exempt list.

I may be wrong though.

Changed today. I've gotten several emails from different courses that I'm on a mailing list for that are closing starting tomorrow.

thru at least April 8th. Have you tried Idaho? No WA, OR. No access to Canada.

Heard anything about the ROIT? I really hope it is not cancelled my fav tourney of the year

My club is open for golf only... Whole clubhouse closed cup liners an inch above surface...

Are people respecting the cups? We tried it and within 1 hour someone had pushed the cups all the way down.

Gold Mountain claims to be trying to round up enough other courses to formally request that golf courses remain open in some capacity. Who knows.

They're still wanting us to carry our own grocery bags in from home to the stores, so none of this makes any sense. The rain is back for awhile though.

Ya no issues yet about 2 weeks, but it still sucks. We now have a rule that if it bounces off of the cup past the leather then it does not count...

Thank you all the updates! We here in the Whatcom and Skagit areas are completely shut down, including practice facilities, etc. Hopeful things get back to normal sooner than later.

Only minimum basic operations, as described in (3)(d) of the Proclamation, are permitted. Course maintenance is also permitted insofar as it prevents imminent damage to the fairways, greens, and other outdoor amenities.Section 3 (d) For purposes of this Proclamation, minimum basic operations are the minimum activities necessary to maintain the value of the business’ inventory, preserve the condition of the business’ physical plant and equipment, ensure security, process payroll and employee benefits, facilitate employees of the business being able to continue to work remotely from their residences, and related functions.Please know that we take this decision very seriously. Nonetheless, we believe that the best way to control the spread of COVID-19 is to temporarily limit interaction as much as possible. Ok, this is as hearsay as you're gonna get, but a friend said he saw or heard somewhere (he couldn't even remember where!) that golf is being considered as one of the first activities that'll get reopened in WA state, and that late May was the rough time frame. Anyone else hear something like that?

This sounds like a promising sign! I would think as well it would be one of the first things recreation wise to open back up, I can imagine with where we live geographically and the game already being so seasonal here they have to be hurting even worse with being shut down during this nice weather. Hopefully we will get back out there sooner than later. Thanks for the update!
