Any courses still open within a few hours of Chicago?

My understanding is that because of Covid 19, Illinois has closed all non-essential businesses and for reasons's I cannot understand golf is considered nonessential. I think it's pretty low risk to get out and play as long as we're not all lingering together on the tee box. I made calls to a few courses in Wisconsin and also Indiana and can't find anyone still open. Anyone know of a course that might still allow me to play, I'm willing to drive a few hours from the city?

Today. Walking only and other precautions. While I don't think it is a great idea, I've been watching people tee off all day.

Executive order revised to clarify yesterday that golf courses are not considered essential, so all courses in state presumably closed at this point per the order and IPGA letter. Our course has been and was planning to continue being open (no employees or clubhouse facilities, but golf available), but now is closed given this revised order.

People have been just going on and walking while maintenance workers maintain the course. I don't think they are allowed but the club is not saying anything.

please don’t do this. You may not be exhibiting symptoms but could be a carrier, don’t unnecessarily travel. These mitigating efforts implemented have been leading to lower projections overall.

The responsibility is on all of us to stay away/inside regardless of weather or the itch to play. The sooner we get over this the sooner we all can get back to the course

If you are still looking for a place, Blackthorn in South Bend, IN is completely open: driving range, food and drink access, carts, etc. You have to book and pay on their website before you show up and the course is really good, played there last week.
