Open So Cal Courses

I found Arrowood and Oceanside open but walking only. Anywhere else?

St. mark full and exec were allowing walking

never been there. how would you rate St Mark full course?

A solid course with some interesting holes. Sometimes can be narrow with houses on both sides. An easy walk with only a few uphill holes and one bigger but short walk up to a tee box. Better than oceanside but not arrowood.

Rancho California has been closed since last Tuesday.

Interesting thing is that I see tee times posted on golfnow but not on own website. and they look legit. Since I do not live nearby, I have no way of finding out.

Goat Hill is open as well but only playing as a single walking and paying green fees via Venmo.

What ever you see ONLINE, ignore it. Call the course and get there fast. All the above courses were open for walking one day thinking walking would be the way to get around staying open, NOPE. Soon after opening emails showed up on my desk saying most of above listed courses have abruptly shut down. Law Enforcement showed up and shut some courses down.

what courses did that happen at? oside and arrowood are open i played them the last two days

I just read that it is up to local gov't health department. God bless city of Oceanside as I will head to Arrowood on Saturday.

Shorecliffs in San Clemente is open, guys.

From my friends playing at Arrowood today. It looks like hole #1 but not sure.

I heard it is pretty crowded. 6300 yds of bitching hike. I am looking forward to it tomorrow

its never not crowded unless youre one of the first ones out but hopefully everyone having to walk will keep the pace moving decent

enjoy it! all these course closures makes me realize how much i take for granted just being able to be out on a course

I was one of the first out at Shorecliffs today, got around in under 3 hours.

I hadn’t played this course in probably 18 months because the last owners had just completely let it go to hell. They’ve also had some issues in the last few years with landslides so there’s a couple of shortened holes and things under construction.

However, i was pleasantly surprised today. I believe they have new ownership and the money being put into the course is starting to show. Greens are really quick and fairways etc are in great shape. Man it’s tight though. If you aren’t hitting it straight you’re gonna shoot a big number. My rusty quarantine game wasn’t ready.

Its worth a look right now though given it’s the only place around.

With your recommendation, I must try. I have never been there due to long history of crappy reputation.

Today at Arrowood. the course was in good shape although green was bit slow due to 2 week old aerification but in good condition. the round took 5.5 hours hiking 4 miles. I mean hike. I played here 5 - 6 times but never noticed the elevation. boy, once you walk, you get to feel every step.

overall, it was fun. truly.

Tukwet is closed at least through the end of March, according to their site. Shandin hills is open though. I did a 50 mile radius search from Redlands today on golfnow. Shandin was the only course showing tee times. It was crowded, lots of walkers.

Newport Beach closed up just this weekend. They were open as of Friday but I stopped by for practice yesterday and they had closed. Is DL Baker practice range still open?

Tukwet website says they are closed until the 31st. No tee times available through then, but there are tee times starting the 1st. Hoping the plan is to open, but my guess is they cleared out tee times through the 31st and havent updated beyond then.

Is Arrowood closing?

Goat Hill is shut as of 3/31. Says it on their site now.

I must say gov't cracking down on golf courses in North SD area. I m sure there are some nasty folks ratting us out.

Is St Mark still in business?

My buddies warned me before I went out. Hope things peak out soon and CV-19 dies down.

I called Maderas earlier today and they said they are shut down. That was my last hope. I can’t play anywhere!!

On 3/29 I confirmed that Newport Beach is closed
