I have a sister in SLC and she says he does a bunch of stuff in Utah. She watches golf only to root for him.

Saw him on Wednesday/pro-Am at Torrey Pines this year. He was walking down the fairway alone because the rest of the group got way ahead (Tony probably signed some autographs after his tee shot).

There's no one there except a guy (and his gal) 20 yards away from Tony, outside the ropes, asking Tony for an autograph. Tony motions and says "come walk with me" and the guy goes and walks with Tony.

They walked for a minute or so down the fairway and talked while Tony signed the guy's stuff. I was watching from a distance and thought that was really cool.

Yeah you could say Tony just didn't want to walk over the ropes. But how many pros would be comfortable doing what he did? He acted like the guy was a close friend, but I'm pretty certain he was a stranger.

Tony's a big, gentle guy who's very comfortable in his own skin and has a big heart.
