Jordan Spieth 4 GTX Under Armour Golf Shoes

Anybody played in these extensively yet? Just ordered them and wondering how they fit and feel because they look suhweeeet!

They put the S in stiff. Hope they break in and are comfortable.

Haha yikes...guessing it’s that carbon fiber sole plate. Haven’t played any stiff golf shoes yet. Would like the added stability but if they don’t flex that might be an issue.

Yeah I think everyone is running serious promos I got 35% off my pair of spieth 4s as well.

I haven't played since I'm in Toronto and courses aren't open but I don't think they feel all that much stiffer than last year's. I agree they look awesome and look better in person. Fit is the same as UA shoes before it so tts works. I will say in person the hints of red do appear more neon orangy colour; doesn't bother me just a bit different than in pictures.

I found the HOVR to be nice and plush.

I have the HOVR shoes from last year and they are good. I tried on some of this year's models and did not care for many of them. I may get the spikeless HOVR if the range will ever open back up for practice time.

Agreed. The HOVR Drive is the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn. I still have a couple pair of the original Drive One and those are pretty comfortable as well.

Golftown online, it's a Canadian website. They were doing 20% off and then had a two day where they took another 15% so I snagged them.

Haven't tried those but heard good things. All the Spieth models have been so damn stiff.

Would perfer UA logo bigger

Hadn’t gotten out for a round in my HOVR Drives since last season(last few times I played the conditions were kind of muddy and didn’t want to get them all dirtied up since they were still pretty new to me at that point) and was able to play today.

I keep looking for other shoes to try out and these reminded my feet why I should probably stop looking. I’d forgotten how perfect they fit my feet and plush they feel. If they made these in a BOA model with no other changes in features or fit, I’d buy like 2 or 3 more pair.

My Spieth 4’s just came today. I took advantage of the 25% on Under Armour’s site with free shipping and free returns. I got the 11 and 11 wide to see which one works best. The 11 will be what I stay with if I keep them. I’m really concerned with keeping the microfiber clean. I keep my Spieth 3’s looking good (not new) by brushing them down with OxiClean & water using a toothbrush, seems to work really well. On the 4’s, I’d need to remove the laces to get to the tongue, and after removing the laces once, just to see what it’s like, I don’t ever see myself doing that again.

There is less of it on the 4s than there was on the 3s correct? I picked up a pair of the 3s on a whim since they were on sale for $45. The micro fabric on the toe and heel looks like its goingto be a nightmare to clean. I sprayed them with some jason markk repel to help keep those areas from getting too stained, but I am sure they eventually will look pretty bad.

There is less on the 4, but they still get dirty, not as bad as the 3’s though. I actually think I like the 3’s better, the blue ones anyway. They are more comfortable than the 4’s and the blue fabric hides the dirt well. I just cleaned my 4’s for the first time the other day. They look better, but not “like new”. Also, the inside of the uppers fade on the fabric tongue and it doesn’t come off. The good thing there is you can’t see it when you lace them up.

The threes do get dirty but they are really good shoes. The 4s are much easier to keep clean, the sizing is a bit different I'd size down a half in the 4 compared to the 3s. Both are good shoes but are pretty different feeling.

I thought they looked great and definitely felt stable, but were a bit too narrow for me. Went with Tour X and they are my favorite golf shoes I've ever used.

I'm trying to decide between the Spieth 4 and the Tour X. Did you try the wide version of the Spieth 4 as well? Were those too narrow as well? I tried the Tour X on a couple days ago and they were definitely comfortable.

I was unable to try the Spieths in Wide. However, I love the Tour X. Have two pairs now, black and the white. So comfy.

Taste is personal preference but the tour x are not a good looking golf shoe imo, the spieths look really nice in person but they are definitely a stiffer shoe. If you walk every round they will take a few rounds to break them in.

Yeah I tend to agree that between the two I prefer the look of the Spieths. That's why I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to buy. The tour X were definitely comfortable, but I prefer the look of the Spieths. I guess I may take the plunge and purchase a pair since, just need to decide on whether to go with standard or wide sizing.

I bought the Speiths and did not like them at all. Super stiff and the tongue kept sliding around cutting my foot. Bought the Tour X and I am very happy, super stable and very comfortable. I agree that the look leaves a little to be desired but I do get a lot of compliments on them.

Agreed. Admittedly I don't think any shoe FJ puts out right now is that good looking. But....the Tour X work and are super comfy. I agree the Speiths look better, I tend to like a modern, simple look.
