Best way to sell in classified?

Hi there. I’m new to the site and was just curious about the best way to sell stuff in the classified section. I’m a bit of a tinkerer to say the least and I seem to always end up with stuff I no longer need (quite a few are tour issue items). Anyway, I know all these sites have their own particular inns and outs, just looking for some guidance.

There are "rules" for posting in Classifieds. Make sure you follow them exactly or your post will be removed by Mods. Best tip I can give you is the better the pictures, the better the ad. Embed the picture, just don't attach the pictures and make someone click on it. Make sure you have good communication and ship promptly using USPS Priority. PM the buyer with the tracking number.

You can do trades too. One of you will have to ship first. I usually do with good experience. Good guys here.

If you're trying to make a profit you'll never sell anything. I've seen guys trying to sell their old golf shirts, used, for $25 a shirt. Heads and shafts, used, for darn near retail. People want a deal man. Be aggressive with prices and you'll be just fine. I've sold everything I've ever listed. And most definitely, read and follow the rules first.

Follow the rules, engage in discussions not just to build post count for classifieds access, but because you're a golf equipment junkie. Have fun with it, be part of the family. When you get access, keep posting in the discussion areas. Meaningful postings, not just "+1 lol for sure I agree yep" kinda stuff. Mods see through that and they can be militant when forced.

Your ads should have great information about your wares, excellent pictures, easy to understand terms, helps to post prices that include shipping and fees but not required, and in general be honest. Deliver what you say, when you say it, and you should be fine.

The mods can sniff out a douch,e bag from seven fairways over and keep their ban hammer powder dry 'round these parts.

Lots of good, in-focus clear pictures (use the image icon, not attachments). Price things to sell. Limit back-and-forth messages. I only will ship lower 48 states, just do not want any hassle when I go to USPS, UPS or FedEx. List it, sell it, ship it, forget it.

After some experience, I now add "First to PayPal gets the item", and then add my PayPal address. Serious buyers send the PayPal and then PM me, This saves so much time with numerous PM's and such. If several send PayPal, I refund the 2nd and 3rd guy and remind them about what I said in the listing. Those that actually read the listing understand. Those that don't, well, I cannot help them read. :)

Pinned listings keep your sale from getting buried and typically on the first page for more exposure. The cost is $10 for a week, send a message to Gxgolfer and go from there.

Buyer sends the $$$ via PayPal first. When adding pics select the image icon, not the document/paperclip icon. Hope that answers your questions.
