Driver spin?

I just got a Swingcaddie S300 delivered and was surprised to see my driver spin at 3800RPM, all of my other clubs seemed accurate... I haven't been fitted for my driver yet (student life lol) but I have the opportunity to get fit later in the year but Im unsure if it's the swingcaddie or my driver? I swing it at 105mph (average), not very strong at all...

I did use my father's driver and the spin lowered a little but that was with a high launching regular shaft too...

do you guys think it's the machine or the driver?

Thanks! hope you are all staying well during this time!

For starters, you don't have a launch monitor capable of measuring spin. For now...machine.

Yeah it's more for distance control... but It seemed pretty close within 200rpm with all my other clubs, only reason I ain't got my driver spin recorded is i went for a session and ended up leaving it at home by mistake

Its going to be a lot easier to ‘guess’ with an iron because of the lack of influence of the vertical gear effect vs a driver/fairway.

I'd say the avg spin rate for driver is about 2800-3600 for 90% of players I've fit. What is the current set up?

I had the same problem with the SC300 its telling me my spin is around 3500 but I'm carrying the ball 270 avg, 280 Max with an Apex of about 110... That just doesn't seem plausible to me with a smash factor of 1.47, SS 110, and 160 ball speed.... I could be wrong! Please educate ha

I've just came from the garden and my stats were very different with my driver and my father's club, I must have hit my driver 30,000 times maybe it's on it's way out 😂

    Father's driver (Mizuno ST200 9.5, Atmos Red Regular) -

    Carry - 255, Swing speed - 104, Ball speed 155.8, launch 20.1, Smash 1.49, 3400)

My driver (Taylormade M1 10.5, Matrix Ozik Red tie 60g stiff)

    Carry - 236, Swing 103.1, Ball speed 146, Launch 18.1, Smash 1.42, Spin 3900)

Launch and spin too high. Should try to get into 12-15* of launch and 2,100-2,500ish for spin. Also need to see ball flight. Is it low, high, left, right. Need to find the right head/shaft combo. Both those shafts are too 'soft' for you! Bang for the buck, that ST200 is a great driver! Just need to find the right loft/shaft.

I agree that your launch and spin are way too high. A proper fitting will help you get into the right head/shaft combo. A stiffer shaft with your current head or a 9* driver head with your current shaft would help in the interim.
