DIY PuttOut Upgrade

First-time poster, long-time listener...

In a house with hundred-year-old floors, everything breaks (left or right). That, coupled with the prospect of no golf for the foreseeable future, I was starting to go a bit nuts. A shock to no one here.

So to get the most out of my PuttOut (cup, mat, mirror), and in a house with limited space and a 16-month-old, I went a bit overboard. A buddy of mine has since asked for instructions, so I thought it'd be best to share. Nothing close to rocket science, but a satisfying project nonetheless—especially since it breaks down into three pieces for storage. And everything, apart from the MDF and trim, can be picked up on Prime.

Happy to answer any questions if someone else wants to give this a shot (or make it better)...

Shopping list (apart from the PuttOut gear...)

Right on. Definitely worth the effort.

How do you find level? Just adjust feet until your putts run straight? Do you have a bubble level for both boards?

I just use a bubble level and adjust till it's flat. Reasonably quick process, especially if you're not constantly breaking it down or using it in the same spot.

Twenty five total—ten per board plus five under the foot stand.

In one of the pictures, you can the underside of one of the boards. Extra feet under dead center, just so the MDF doesn't sag over time.

I have been trying to find that exact mat and not available, where did you find it??What are the 2 clamps for??

I bought mine on Amazon on while back (https://www.amazon.com/PuttOut-Pro-Golf-Putting-Mat/dp/B0777137V2). Looks like there's still a seller offering Prime shipping.

And because there are two boards beneath the mat (for easier storage vs. one long length), the adjustable clamps press both boards flush together.

Thanks for sharing. I think I’ll do something similar for my big moss.

Looks like an Odyssey Marxman which is a really stable putter. I had one and 8 ft in, it was almost automatic. My issue with it was lag putting as I tend to put on more of an arch stroke.
