List of player CB with least offset

Hi

what would you regard a CB player iron that has an offset similar to a blade?

for example. Z785 has around 3mm 7 iron offset and doesn’t suite my eyes at all. Is there something 1.8mm or less?

I love my Mizuno MP20 MMC. 7 iron has 1.2mm

mizuno MP20 MMC is 0.122 inch

Apex pro is 2.8 mm and honma rose version is around 2 I think the other ones are more.

4 iron is double that.

The offset is progressive. It’s minimal up top but significant in the longer irons.

On a side note, I just reached platinum tees, I believe. Yeeha.

Guessing they're probably not quite what you're looking for, but Maxfli black dot Revolution irons have little or no offset. They're also 20 years old.

If you're interested in forgiveness, they have an MOI about the same as the Ping ISI irons.

Few low offset models of JDM models are out there (Miura and others) so if the world version is not to your liking see how the JDM stacks up. I have P770s which are 2.4mm on the 7, seems most clubs in this category are in the 2-3mm range on the 7. I dont' see any easy place to see the offset specs of miuras but my world version of the CB-1008s I believe are sub 2mm on the 7i as they are less then my 770s for sure :)

sorry I read that wrong!! in my head I was thinking z785 and .3" offset which seemed high for that club anyway. Messed that up completely! Regular MP20 blades are .087" offset so 2.21 mm

PXG 0311T is 1.9mm 7 iron.

Honma 737v, looks wise, has the least amount of offset I have seen in a CB... fantastic looking clubs.

Cobra Pro Forged CB very minimal offset. Off the top of my head i believed the offset is 1.5 mm

I game these 4-pw with kbs tour v 120x and was fitted for these on trackman in February. I've had about a month and a half of solid work on the range and course. These are the finest clubs i've ever gamed. That being said I came from the srixon 785. The cobra's didn't blow the srixon's out of the water performance wise, but had enough noticeable improvement in all areas especially dispersion and distance control. At address, they are beautiful. Shorter blade length and thin top line. If you didn't know they were CB's, you would think that they're modern muscle backs (i.e. srixon z-forged, cobra mb, i-blade). A white ball presents a nice contrast with the black finish which makes it easier to square up. They feel incredible when flushed and feedback is very specific when hit on toe/heel. The tungsten in the toe help make them forgiving. Lastly, the finish is amazing. I've had numerous hours on the range and at least 72 holes and the finish has not worn at all.

Interesting follow-up question... Can the average golfer visually tell the offset difference between 2.2mm and 1.8mm at address?

Taylormade: P730 7i: 1.7mm. P750 7i: 2.2mm. P760 7i: 2.3mm

Mizuno: MP18 7i: 2.2mm. MP18-SC 7i: 2.2mm

Taylormade 2014 MC had a sub 2mm offset in the 7iron, 1.8mm

Joe Schmo hack may not see the difference but I have believe people like us on these forums can certainly tell. When I had my fitting, offset was definitely noticeable between clubs. Sure there are a few clubs with minimal differences between offset but for the most part offset is definitely noticeable if you’re particular about it

Tour Edge CB Xtreme forged has 2.5,mm in the 3 -4, 2mm in the 5, 1.5mm in the 6-8 and 1mm 9-PW

Older but a really solid offering. Wide soles though. I played them for a while and loved them.

Suprised nobody has mentioned bending irons weak. An iron like the t100-s (2.5mm before) bent weak may be a solution.

S55 bent a degree weak., offset around 1.6 mm at 34 degrees.

You should bent the Mizuno MP MMC 4-8 to normal Mizuno lofts same offset then Blades ?, than go 9-PW with Blades.

Also keep in mind that the mm measurement of offset isn’t always the be all end all of how much offset a club appears to have. The hosel transition can also effect how much offset a club can appear to have for some people.
