He must have thought his inside the ropes pass gave him buddy privileges with Tiger. He was in Tiger's swing area and LaCava just moved people out of the vicinity. The video showed nothing malicious. That guy's an idiot. Tiger should never pay this guy, and should counter sue him and cost that guy tons to have to respond. Seems like what rich people do. Regardless, judge should just throw out the case.

The idea that he is suing for specifically $30,000 is incorrect, and normally reporters don't get much right.

The lawsuit was filed in a circuit court in Florida, which means that to file in that court the minimum threshold for damages is greater than $30,000.

The flopper has simply stated his claim exceeds $30,000 for a circuit court vs. county court filing (county court is $30,000 or less) - so really nothing that can be speculated on based on that. He just says he is entitled to more than $30,000 whatever that turns out to because he is required to make such a statement for filing purposes.

One article had a report that a security person on the scene observed Joe and contradicts the idea that anyone fell down in that area, or that Joe was shoving people, and apparently after this damaging fall the flopper hung around and watched the golf for another hour, then later went to an ER and made a law enforcement report.

Here is what is attributed to the security person:

"One of the tournament’s security officials told authorities that he saw LaCava “used his forearm to guide” a man back into the crowd to give Woods enough room to hit the ball but that it wasn’t a shove or push. If the security official had seen someone fall to the ground, he told authorities, he would have checked on him. Borruso watched the tournament for another hour after the incident, according to the 2018 report."

“As a result, Borruso's lawsuit claims he "suffered injury and damages" including "bodily and mental injury," "disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, expenses of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of ability to earn income, and aggravation of a previously existing condition."

Yep. If I’m worth near a billion and this comes towards me. I hire folks to vet the lawyer , the plaintiff , their barbers , parents , parishioners, and dogs. Everyone has a Skelton. Just a question of how deep to dig. Set an eXample for what you need to bring when bringing these things. Make sure the next one is ready to be vetted before stepping up.

That's true, but based on just the videos we're seeing here, the plaintiff is not in a great position. I think Tiger's going to be OK on this one.
